I wouldn't expect Aberdeen to do any deal unless it suited them. Rangers might want Wright in now to bed in but they certainly don't need him in this season.

If the clubs don't reach a deal today then it won't be a concern in my opinion.

I also love the irony of "none of your IOU shite" considering Rangers agreed to loan McCrorie to you for a year before making the deal permanent as Aberdeen couldn't afford to pay for him this season.

This difference is one of credit rating

I'll leave you to fathom out the rest

Did the phoenix club ever settle the Scottish Ambulance Service and the face-painting lady in order to at least try and convince everyone they were actually the same club?

Shall we just call Scotty a wee rat c**t and move on?

Wright makes Hedges play better and at the moment, more often than not makes us play better.

I really do not see what we have to gain by letting him go now unless it's a really significant offer.

Repeats ad nauseum - 3rd place could potentially be worth 2 million more than finishing fourth.

This may all be true but...he is a wee rat c**t.

Agree - but the stadium is empty, so trying to put these thoughts on hold until he does actually go there. Next season is next season, a lot still riding on this one.

..........and he does seem to make Hedges a much more effective player.

I'm really not offering an opinion on any of this, nor disagreeing with you. I just wanted to end an awkward exchange with Illgresi where he made a joke and I didn't get it as I'm hard of thinking.

I’m not sure many fans have grasped your last point.

Maybe to you

So you can't see the irony of telling someone not to give an IOU for a player when you currently have the services of a player that you otherwise couldn't afford to sign?

Okay mate.

Being a confirmed glass half full sort of person, I see it as the effective art of negotiation and lets be honest the risk is low to The Rangers given we've been good for every penny we ever owed for one hundred and eighteen years 😉

Technically, we don't have any debt to Rangers. We have a future obligation but the event on which that obligation is contingent hasn't occurred yet. So it's not an iou.

If this seems overly pedantic, that's because it is.

I do appreciate some excellent pedantry to be honest.
