This season Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen have failed to win a Scottish Premier League game after a European game. The 3 teams don't have big enough squads to cope with the demands of Thursday/Sunday, so with that I'm really concerned about how much extra games will hurt our qualifying for Europe campaign.

I really don't think that's where our concerns lie.

We're struggling to break anyone down playing the ball on the deck.

Teams are wise to the second ball football we've been playing.

It's no surprise to me that our best performances have been against teams who are trying to play out from the back.

The three or four times we actually passed the ball around yesterday we looked ok.

I understand the benefits of getting the ball forward quickly but when it's not working it just gives the opponents the ball.

Jensen looks like he could be decent possibly.

Not a single decent individual performance yesterday.

It’s way too early for knives out obviously.

But it’s natural to be identifying issues as they arise and there is a wee bit of a pattern developing in certain games.

Challenges for him to overcome that he’ll live or die by. I’m sure he’ll say, with some justification, that we’re into an intense period of games with half the squad either injured, not recruited or not up to speed. It is a hindrance but unfortunately he’s just got to navigate it.

The performance yesterday though was beyond lacklustre.

My knife isn’t out, but there have been a few red flags, and not just yesterday.

- Long ball football, far too much of it. He got away with it last season, partly because of where we’d come from & partly because he was winning mostly. It’s now one win in eight league games though.

- Absolutely wedded to 3-5-2 or a variation thereof.

- Not pro-active. Yesterday was crying out for changes in formation & personnel at half time. He didn’t. We deservedly then lost the lead.

- Lack of substitutions.

Too early to judge when most of the new signings haven't had a preseason with us. Will take a few months to get all players up to speed.

Not so sure.

Most players were here last season and doesn't look to be a drastic change in style of play.

We have made 11 new signings so far and only 2 was the previous season. Most of those are not fit enough to play for the team, but they will also need time to gel. On a positive note we won't have the same turnover of players as we did last season going forward.

I'm talking about yesterday's starting XI.

Only Devlin, Polvara and Ruby didn't play under Robson, in this set up, last season.

We're almost in to September. 3 new players starting shouldn't make a massive difference. If it does then that's on Robson.

It's still early days for him and nobody was good, but Rubezic's performance today was a bit too Dave Bus for my liking.

He was incredibly poor and looked really low in confidence / out of his depth.

Unless the majority of players we signed this summer are shite and get the manager emptied and subsequently need replacing themselves

To be fair, he has been thrown in to all the matches since his arrival. He has ended up playing with a number of different players, often with them out of position as well. So hasn’t had the easiest of starts to settle in.
