Heart of Midlothian 2014-

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness, how many times in surveys, on football fans forums and from other fans sites et cetera has Tynecastle been voted or generally said to be the best 'away' ground to visit?

I've got no problem with Hibs fans peddling their pish, but to claim Easter Road is a favoured ground for away fans to visit is simply not true.

Since Hearts have became a cute, cuddly self righteous wee club the atmosphere at Tynie has died a death. As a club and a support they just don't understand footballing rivalry anymore. It's actually pretty sad to see if I'm honest.

I would say that it is true that Hearts have a less vocal nutjob element these days.

As for derby rivalry the clubs have to be in the same league surely?

If things haven't felt quite so passionate around Tynecastle lately then it may just be that we're emotionally exhausted after an absolutely crazy few years.

We seem to depend on the punters in hospitality to do the singing these.

Next plan for Ann Budge is to give gratis tickets to guest choirs during the Edinburgh Festival? They just have to sing The Europe Song five minutes into each half. Preferably in a manly fashion.

There is of course more to atmosphere than singing. There is still plenty buzz.

The Hibbies on here are either delusional or a bunch or trolls.  Past experience would suggest delusional is the far more likely answer.

Easter Road has four functional breeze block stands. These stands are rarely anywhere near sold out. They are positioned too far away from the pitch and have huge gaps between them. The overall effect is a cold bleak soulless shell.

In my experience the majority of neutrals prefer a visit to Tynecastle.

Tynecastle is the better away day but that has a lot to do with the pubs in Gorgie.
