It sounded nice in theory; appoint talented coaches who've shown potential and allow them to learn from the Head Coach to ensure continuity when they eventually take the reins after a couple of years. "Talented coaches" are a bit thin on the ground when you limit yourself to a pool of ex-Levein players, though, and the idea of "continuity" is questionable when the next coach in line clearly has completely different ideas to his predecessor. Really shite team looking like they are going through the motions. That no self-respecting manager would accept working with Levein, so you are left with going back to appointing a young coach who has never managed before which for a club the size of Hearts is a massive (and needless) risk. Which means you are then left with the question of 'What is the point of Levein being there?'. If he actually knows what he is talking about, then get him managing the team, if he doesn't, then he should get out the way and allow Hearts to appoint a proper manager. On paper, Levein is the most experienced/highly qualified manager Hearts could hope to get, it seems bizarre that you would have him sitting in the background whilst giving someone like Jon Daly the job. Have heard a couple of people mention that Levein being the manager would affect his SFA pay off, hence loitering in the background, which might explain it. Even if we stand still or finish in the bottom 6 this season, it's not the end of the world considering we are going to have a stadium fit to grace any league. 19/05/12 broke Hibs and all the HFCC fans . Don't let them kid anyone otherwise As a player he was Imperious, but as a DOF and general football person, it's quite clear that Levein is a bellend.
