He was hardly going to improve by signing a over the hill centre half who was ragdolled by 2 lincoln city forwards last season and a utter donkey who was the laughing stock of Scottish Football in his time at Rangers. Stop trying to convince yourself that Berra and Lafferty are poor signings who aren't excellent at this level. The problem is an absolute nightmare of a keeper that should have been rectified last summer, three seasons and failing to address the centre of midfield, with wingers now a growing concern, and of course the lost boy in charge under Levein and Budge. It's criminal that the above has been allowed to happen, especially when the fans have noticed such weaknesses, yet the management apparently haven't. Playing for nearly 10 minutes with 10 men while somebody's scone is being stitched is plain stupid. Getting the shirt numbers of the subs in the team lines wrong is plain embarrassing. Peterhead didn't just beat us tonight - they were clearly the better side - no disrespect to Peterhead, who deserve praise and credit, but it shouldn't be happening. Levein needs to resolve the futures of Walker, Sammon, Johnsen, and Djoum, and get a move on with getting some decent replacements in. If it goes tits up thereafter, at least Cathro's replacement should have a half decent squad to work with. P.S. Was Hughes rested again tonight? P.P.S. Hare Krishna. Edit: It's now 01.15, and Kickback is still in lockdown - that is some collective meltdown.
