I'm Brian
Seemingly darling cant make the date for the stv As the saying goes LOL. Why is it the better together folks have a tendency to pull out of debates? All the fuss about Salmond should debate Darling and now he can't make it. You really couldn't make this up

speckled tangerine
Darling was comprehensively obliterated in a debate four or five weeks ago with Jim Eadie, a backbench Nationalist msp. Alex Salmond is in a different league (with all due respect to Mr Eadie) and to get an arsekicking live on the telly as opposed to an Edinburgh church hall is probably tipping his sanity over the edge. He's not up to it and it won't happen.

Ad Lib
It seems odd that Salmond made himself available for a debate on 16th July to debate David Cameron, but he is only prepared to debate Darling if it is after the Commonwealth Games, into August? Why won't he just debate Darling on the date he proposed to debate Cameron?

Ad Lib
Told you it was ecks fault I'm not suggesting it's his fault. Do you have any explanation for why Salmond would be unavailable for July 16th to debate Darling but available on the same date to debate Cameron? What is it about the space-time continuum that means he can only be in the same room as Darling in August? Is Ad Lib still kidding on he's a Yes voter btw? Or has he finally given up that game? It's not a game.

Why won't he just debate Darling on the date he proposed to debate Cameron? Any reason why he should let Blinky dictate the when and where? Who is the First Minister and who is the shadow back bench mp?
