This father recently passed away after a long period of dementia. He was in the newspapers saying how it was the worst thing that had ever happened to him. To go through something like that must be extremely upsetting. Knocks in on to Gonzalez. Gonzalez the winger. Desperate to get a move to Europe due to the terrible financial crisis in his home country. Much worse than in Europe. Some of the worst child poverty rates in the world according to the UN. Little children often forced into prostitution or highly dangerous fields of work. A real shame. Gonzalez, tries to beat the full and it goes out for a throw in. Lawrenson (sarcastic) : Well that was good. Great play from the lad. International eh? Pearce (miserable) : Just come back from a terrible spine injury. Spent most of last season in complete agony. Mendez takes the throw. Poor throw. He really needs to be doing better than that in this position. But he wins it back. Looks for the pass but doesn't seem to have the vision to pick a pass. Lawrenson (sarcastic) : Playing like he doesn't have a spine. Or legs. Pearce (miserable) : Well not much happening really. Derth of excitement. Little skill on offer. Game could do with a Bobby Charlton or the great Bobby Moore. What a golden age of football that was, unlike today. So hot today, so unpleasantly hot. Dangerous conditions. Players could die out there. Lawrenson (sarcastic) : It's football that's dying. Pearce (miserable) : Mendez to Hernandez. Hernandez. Grew up in an orphanage. Both parents murdered by gangs. Butchered in the street before his very eyes. How traumatic it must have been for the young lad. Then raped by his uncle. Can he have more luck here today. Poor pass.
