Delhi - IIRC they had a public poll, and it came out as the winner comfortably.

Good choice in fairness.

I remember we had Scotland the Brave as our medal winning anthem in Melbourne 06. It was superb. The whole crowd, no matter what nation, clapped along!

Tasty stuff in the boxing. McFadden of Scotland beat the World no1, Selby of Wales.

Selby lost his mouthpiece four times during the last round and was given warnings which effectively knocked him out of it. Knowing this, McFadden was totally bamming him up, throughout the whole final round.

Just watched that on BBC One - McFadden was totally ripping the pish in that final round. Brilliant.

Another good showing from Murdoch in the semi finals of the 100m breaststroke. Looks like Jamieson will struggle to make the final.

Jamieson finished well done the field. The world record holder didn't make it either. Benson and Murdoch are in the final.

After a humiliating 16-0 defeat to South Africa yesterday, Trinidad and Tobago's Women's Hockey team put in a vastly improved performance in losing 14-0 to NZ.

Highlights included one of the Black Sticks being raging at missing a sitter at 14-0, and the T&T captain slowing down the game by walking to free hits in a manner and pace resembling my 89yo granny.

Why does that one armed swimmer not just go round in circles? Also surely the poor Kenyan girl should have been in a different classification to give her a more even chance.

It's because there's not enough competitors for that discipline. It's the same across all the para sports that are going on during the Games.

Now that it's been incorporated more and more into the Commonwealth Games it should encourage more to take part.
