ekok
Yes best of luck to all our teams in Scottish tomorrow. Great chance to put the league even more in public eye and show we have quality teams and quality players.

HibeeJibee
Good luck. Vale-Gala an all LL affair, of course. City should be good enough to beat Fort. Edinburgh Uni a very tall order at Hurlford.
surely not!
Good luck. Vale-Gala an all LL affair, of course. City should be good enough to beat Fort. Edinburgh Uni a very tall order at Hurlford. Think gala will find it harder than they did in the league game but might still have enough. City should be good enough but think fort have shown a wee bit more steel of late and been better defensively. Hurlford will be a tough ask, but uni showed last year that they are capable of developing a game plan for sitting in and hitting on the break as they did to great effect to lift a trophy. All in, 3 interesting ties.

The teams involved shouldve got their arses into gear in 1st place and would nae have been put in this position Good luck all the same. shame one LL team has to fall at this stage. HibeeJibee
Edinburgh City 5-0 Fort William Hurlford United 2-2 Edinburgh University Vale of Leithen 0-1 Gala Fairydean Rovers Stroll in the park for City in the end, and Gala got the job done. Result of the day has to go to Edinburgh Uni, though... to go to the Junior Cup holders and come away with a 2-2 draw when still a month away from the start of the academic year, is a really creditable result. Nothing to lose next week (wherever it goes ahead). Well done.

TFW
Talbot through after a one sided game against St Cuthberts. We've never played a Lowland League team at their ground so a good number of Talbot fans, like myself, looking forward to such a draw. Only ever played Threave Rovers in any kind of competitive match from Lowland League, 3 seasons back in the Scottish - but that was prior to the LL formation. Voice of Reason
Yes, scottish cup home tie and use choose worst LL pitch I have been to two matches at the Pennypit this season and the pitch has been very good. One of the strengths of the Lowland League is the quality of the pitches. They are assessed at every match by the referee and if they are not up to standard the club can lose its licence. mancinirules
Yes, scottish cup home tie and use choose worst LL pitch Given that the LL pitches are of a high standard (one of the conditions of membership), does you statement actually mean anything at all? It's like saying that Ozil was the worst German player at the World Cup. True, but I'd still pick him for Scotland. Or even Greenlaw, if we were struggling for numbers. They are all pretty good and I don't think any of them can be called 'terrible' (at least at this time of the year). Still have to say that St Mark's Park is my favourite and Craigroyston do a great job.
HibeeJibee
Would they have had a choice beyond the Pennypit anyway? Spartans and Whitehill are both at home. Edinburgh City are away but there's an athletics event on the Sunday at least, and Meadowbank isn't cheap. It's a shame they can't take Hurlford back to Peffermill, but getting the replay is excellent.

Holding the current holders of the Scottish Junior Cup to a draw at their own pitch has to be arguably the best performance ever by a club from the SLFL. Looking forward to the replay (wherever it is).
