This is over exaggerating in the extreme. We are not playing futsal or five aside matches I don’t care if he’d be the best at keepie uppies on Britains got Talent the guy is off the pace playing 11 aside football in the Championship. The odd clever pass here and there is not worth the sacrifice of effectively having a mannequin in the team when out of possesion.

Yes he looked fitter but in every game he played Cowdenbeath included players walked past him with the football he was about as good as a cone defensively and we cannot carry any passengers.

How the hell do you know he is off the pace?  He's had zero league minutes. Zero.  He was also fine against Cowdenbeath.  But it doesn't matter, he's gone now.  We want some more players that will fackin run about a bit, right?  More grafters to watch the ball sail over their heads and straight to the opposition as Ricky Little launches it long,

Still, he's gone now, and hopefully the management will be following in a couple of months.

Awwww ffs you got my hopes up. Why wouldn’t it happen now? Because of Allan moving on? We’ve got 4/5 centre mids outwith Jacobs and are hopefully in for another one, a defensive midfielder

No sure just heard it's off...

So that’s another week almost over.

No sign of a left back or holding midfielder. No rumours of signings. No news from the club. No updates on McKenna or where Hamilton is in his recovery. Scott Allan moving on.

So disappointing and a bit concerning.

Mckenna is in squad for Saturday as per dicks interview in courier. Can't get link to work, but it's in one of the articles about Allan leaving 👍

By looking at boys walking past him with the football like he’s no even there every single time he is on the park 👍🏻

Let’s just put this Scott Allan stuff to bed please and stick it in the “signings that looked good on paper but were ultimately an expensive failure” file.

I was very excited when he signed and disappointed that it never worked out but there are probably many reasons why he failed at Arbroath and we’re unlikely ever to find out.

Perhaps he hated the management team? Perhaps they hated him? Maybe the chance of full-time football again was too much to ignore? Maybe he fell out with someone he shouldn’t have? Maybe he shagged the tea lady? Maybe he hates the colour maroon or is scared of guide dogs.

It’s done, he’s gone let’s move on.

The articles in the papers explain what’s happened. No fall out, just didn’t work out for footballing reasons.

And that reason is as clear as day to everyone with a pair of eyes in their skull. I wanted him to be a success as much as anyone else and have actively stuck up for him as much as I possibly could’ve but at the end of the day you cannot have a passenger in your team when you’ve not got the ball at this level.

Allan and McKenna would never work in a midfield trying to stay in the championship and only blind man would say Allan was the Better option of the two.

he’s moved on, doesn’t look like any fall out or anything, it just hasn’t worked out, probably down to Scott maybe getting on a bit and his illness etc and our style of play / inability to get the best out of him, good luck to him, it was a gamble worth taking.

Agreed, the way some people are going on you'd think this kind of situation hasn't happened a million times before at clubs everywhere in the world. Player signs, doesn't fit in, moves on, nobody dies.

Aye and some (one of my mates) has been moaning about getting rid of Allan for about 6 months and text me the other day saying “that’s a joke Allan is away” haha

Maybe the fact we got 6 wins out of 36 games last season

29 goals all season ( least goals in the league )

Defence by passing the midfield with hopeless balls forward, completely bypassing any midfielder, resulting in maybe one of the more creative players in our squad not working out.

But yeah hes a passenger, its much better to have 11 jobbers running about looking the part and winning 6 games all season.

" you cannot have a passenger at this level "

Listen to the elitist talking like we are at some superior level or have any authority over any other team in the league, we are the whipping boys and im pretty sure any semi decent creative player would run a mile knowing what they are walking into, maybe thats why we find it hard to attract bodies.

Another 4 changes, give the team time to gel instead of this chopping and changing, it's ridiculous, give the team time to gel and get used to a settled formation and line up

Gold was man on the match last week in centre mid, is he getting moved onto wing or is Mckenna being asked to play out of position again,
