Apparently it's been misreported that Stewart rejected the move. There was a flurry of updates and rumours a wee while ago but by all accounts he's as good as signed for Birmingham.

It looks we have committed to selling him and as a club pretty much signed up to it
BoobyMann
Courier and Tele going with the line that he's still about to join Birmingham in the next 24 hours. Liam Kennedy loves an exclusive. His exclusive this morning was that Birmingham had 'cooled' their interest, less than 24 hours later, Stewart's all but a Birmingham player. This morning? That was in the Tully last night. Probably not bothered their arses to update the story last night.

Moo
As much as we all want Greg Stewart to stay, most who were at the game on Saturday will agree that we looked a more balanced side without him. The reported fee is very low for someone of his ability but if he goes it should give us the cash to go out and spend in other areas we need to strengthen. This is maybe why we haven't signed another centre half yet as we could improve better if more cash is made available. Then again we might not see anything from the Stewart deal.
Dfc2490
He's not rejected them, some negotiating still to be done but he'll be a Birmingham player by the weekend
locheedfcno1
Should try get Birmingham up next season as well as part of the deal?
Mr Gandosaur
Should try get Birmingham up next season as well as part of the deal? Why? A friendly against them wouldn't exactly be a money spinner - friendlies against championship clubs in the past have had shit attendances.
Ludo*1
We are apparently getting a bucket load of strings attached in this deal that could be very good in the future.

Ludo*1
For when Stewart gets international caps and a sell-on clause? Appearances at Birmingham as well. Also, if they get promoted we receive a sizeable amount. Not much more they can do considering the circumstances and that's pretty decent.
Maslow
For when Stewart gets international caps and a sell-on clause? Oh well, someone have a word in wee Gordie Strachans ear. Dee Man
£500k is a joke in today's market. Can't wait til Scott Bain is the next to go for buttons.

Yep, what annoys me is the bullshite Nelms came out with in the press i.e 'blah blah we'd rather keep him for a season and lose him for nothing.'

I can't remember if it was £250k or £500k but either way he only had six months on his contract and was a wage thief; only turned it on in high profile games where he was in the shop window. Anyway you guys thumped County away from home at the weekend without him or Hemmings and the new guy only making a cameo appearance. Looks like you will do OK without him.

RandomGuy.
Only Dundee could sell Hemmings and Stewart and not even manage to get £1m from their combined fees.
