There is usually an annual inspection when they go round and try to get you to fix all the things that were fucked before you took over. On this you are correct. It does seem like he's putting much as he can out there for folks, while still making it clear none of it is 100% certain too so people don't get too carried away. + Could just be words but I especially like the bit about wanting to be viewed as good custodians of the club in the future

The wee team won't benefit from the revenue generated by the new stadium. Is that simple enough for you? What happens if Steve/ Geoff Brown with 60% of the shares and Bob Reid with nearly 30% of them decide the revenue generated by the stadium goes back into their families bank account?
Fifespud
You haven't got a clue. Are you seriously suggesting that the hundreds of thousands the club earns from the ground each year is squirreled away within the club or is mysteriously extracted by the Browns? If you are then punch yourself in the face repeatedly until you come to your senses. Ok - what are St Johnstone's current cash reserves and where did they come from?
Fifespud
I think you're an imbecile who knows f**k all about business tax. Go on then - explain your tax avoidance scheme. This should be amusing.

Sorry Spud, if I'd been on I'd have warned you not to waste your time, I had the pleasure of chatting to the dribbling mess earlier - he's about as sharp as that fife dab so you'll be here all night trying to explain that idea to him! Edit to add, I too am an imbecile for pointing out the blindingly obvious Edited August 22, 2017 by locheedee

No probably not directly, but as 60% shareholders they can set their own wage and the dividend on the shares (etc, etc) and can legally extract sizeable sums from the club. Go ask our dayglo neighbours how the Baldy Snake's done it to them if you're that thick

Worth pointing out too that your Yankee chum pays himself a nice little 6-figure salary from your club. Worth every penny no doubt. RandomGuy.
You are truly fucking stupid. When the time eventually comes for the Browns to sell SJ don't you think the millions in the bank and the earning potential of the club will be part of the price negotiation or do you think the Browns will throw that in for feck all? Have you ever dealt with or spoken to Geoff? If anybody knows how not to give away money it's him. You are stupid and deluded. It's not the Brown's money to give away, they put nothing in, theyll take nothing out. What happens if Steve/ Geoff Brown with 60% of the shares and Bob Reid with nearly 30% of them decide the revenue generated by the stadium goes back into their families bank account? Why would they? They've taken nothing out for 20 years, and even if they did, they'd face a board room fully aware of it, and a fanbase who'd find out when the accounts were published. There's a difference between out situation, where it would be an owner taking money out the club, to yours, where an owner wouldn't be giving some money to the club. Nobody knows what their clubs owners will do next. I know what gamble I'd rather take.
