Dee Till A Die
Anyone seeing the rumours on the Dark Blue forum that Stephen Pearson is the free agent we'll be signing? What was posted: Stephen Pearson is the player (free agent) that will join us, he played with Hartley and Clarkson at Bristol City, 32, just finished playing in India with del Piero and trezeguet. Pearson can play left mid, centre half and left back.

SweeperDee
Is Stephen Pearson shite? Meh, he's had an alright career; got 10 Scotland caps as well. Played for Celtic for a couple of seasons and had a decent spell with Derby. No idea how he ended up in the Indian Football League though. -

No idea how he ended up in the Indian Football League though. I've just been looking up that league. Some old school legends playing in it! Del Piero, Pires, Martins, Mutu, Anelka. Imagine a similar league was set up here and we all got one or two 40 year old former World Cup stars. Hamilton could have Totti, St Mirren could have Figo. Why, we could finally get Edgar Davids to sign that 12 year old contract!
rainbowrising
Pearson always seemed a decent player and at 32 (just turned) should still have something to offer (I hope!). Like a lot of players his career is dotted with periods of injury but nothing major seems to have blighted him. I presume the Indian league was for money and to keep himself in shape if any of Europes top teams came in for him. His day has arrived!
eindhovendee
Hope I am wrong but this seems a real jobs for the boys type signing.
Ludo*1
He'd do well at LM for us if he's still half as good as he used to be.

punk_dfc
No idea what Pearson is like nowadays to be honest. Could be a Clarkson or could be a Stephen Hughes. Apparently, he has played more minutes in the Indian Super League than any other player, so there doesn't seem to be any current injury issues.
