Possible vote rigging?

To be fair, the fact that it's being spread around social media means it needs to be addressed.

Conspiracy leads to distrust.

Some of it has been addressed, particularly the clip that showed a pile of Yes votes on a No table, which was confirmed almost immediately by the Yes campaign that they had only been place there temporarily. Even so, I'm still seeing that clip being posted and retweeted days after it was cleared up as supposed proof of tampering.

I think the very fact that it's being spread only on social media means it shouldn't be addressed.

Anyone who thinks YES actually got more votes than NO on Thursday is a crackpot and/or an idiot and their views must be marginalised and ridiculed. Giving any kind of mainstream attention would only encourage them.

Even if vote rigging couldnt have swung the vote, do the nae-sayers really feel the vote couldnt have been managed better?

All it takes is one of the stories to have truth to it, such as ballot boxes being left alone with one person during transport, for people to latch onto.

I'm not saying there was vote rigging but there needs to be lessons learned from this, if theres ever to be another vote with such a high turnout.

So you don't think that the counting of votes and transporting of ballot boxes should be unquestionably legit?

Anyone who thinks this vote wasn't legitimate shouldn't be allowed out in public on their own.

The transport of Ballot boxes being unmonitored, if it turns out to be true. It's not as if theyre delivering newspapers, elections are important.

If the process put in place was flawless then there would never be the likes of the OP asking questions about it.

What swivel-eyed mouth breathing loons believe on social media should be an object of derision and humour... not given any credence.

If they don't investigate and come out and say that the stuff on social media is untrue, then it perpetuates the idea that something underhand has occurred.

Didn't they have serial numbered tape on it? You would need to have box with already pre-filled ballet papers, and then put an identically numbered tape, and then do a switcheroo while transporting the ballet. Hard to do without a lot of planning or having multiple people in on the plot, which in itself carries a risk that someone may leak information out to the public.

Eh no it doesn't.

It perpetuates the idea that social media Allows crackpot mentalists who previously hid in bedrooms reading the World Weekly News to communicate with like minded slack jawed simpletons around the world.

Do we need an investigation into alien abductions to get to the bottom of those claims?
