Looks like whipped in gusts up to 70mph on Friday / Friday night. If the Met Office uprate this to a storm, it will be named 'Desmond'

Apparently the winds to get so bad today, the Forth Road Bridge is to be closed to all traffic

It's more to do with a big crack they've found in the bridge than just the weather. It's going to be closed til New Year. Getting in and out of Fife's going to be a total pain in the arse for thousands of folk.

Really? You'd have thought somebody would have started a thread about it.

But its cold, Desmond is usually full of hot air
