H_B
Why wouldn't they? As being a region in the UK, how else to do you propose Scotland pays its own share of the UK's fee? Perhaps using the same fee arrangement the EU does.
H_B
Yes these were all scare stories used by the Yes campaign to try and counter the No campaign. Ah right. So Yes scaremongering was awright then?
pandarilla
Ah right. So Yes scaremongering was awright then? Not my cup of tea - but I understand how the game works. You are the only person I know that holds different sides to different standards. Oh yeah I remember - it was your duty to keep the Yes campaign honest. Elixir
For all the greetin' nats who were hoping and praying for the UK to leave the EU to generate a pretext for another indyref. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/british-support-eu-membership-23-high-poll-152315486.html#BRfv3vt Nae luck. git-intae-thum
I absolutely hope the UK stays in the EU. Nae luck. Same here. Unlike Scottish independence an EU exit really would destroy many businesses and cost vast amounts of jobs. I have an absolute terror of the "swivelled eyed loons" managing to rip us out of the EU. The whole anti-EU is symptomatic of the right-wing millionaires who control 'UK' politics south of the border. They see the EU as too left-wing and bent on stopping them doing whatever the France they want - i.e. hunting the poor for a start. Norway on the other hand sees the EU as too right-wing. Who's right? Dunno but Norway's standard of living and general 'happiness' far outstrips backward Britain which are close to going tits up again. That would suggest it has a better handle on hows things should be done.
Todders
I think many people see EU and immigration as one and the same issue, which they aren't. The problem I and many people have with the EU is the erosion of British sovereignty from London to Brussels. Weren't you one of these fucktards banging on about how much you hate nationalism? You'll probably be quite pleased that when confronted by loony tunes clowns wanting to strip us from unions that the silent majority turn up and slap down the happy clappers. It happened to the nat clown collective in their referendum, and it would also happen in an EU referendum. The best thing to do is do a bit of finger crossing and hope it goes tits up. A bit like that Ancolostomybag is doing regarding the UK.

It does not matter if access to the EU market is from a position where Scotland is inside or outside the UK. What Britnat thickets and dependent cretin types have just voted for only delays the inevitable.

It's a corrupt, undemocratic, monolithic, wasteful organisation. I fully accept that positives on social policy have come out of our membership so it's not all bad but at the present the bad outweighs the good. We need to have some form of economic union with other European countries but the present structure needs a complete overhaul. There appears no desire by the mainly pro EU countries to change anything, personally I think there is more likelihood of us leaving than trying managing to effect change. Its not all been bad. It couldn't possibly ALL be bad. But they are hurtling down the wrong road with no sign of them even understanding what they are doing or that they are hurting real people. Nationalism is on the rise throughout Europe and this is NEVER a good sign.

Reynard
Is there a good chance of this scenario? * Tories win next General Election * Britain votes to leave EU in referendum * Cameron resigns and Boris becomes PM Hope so. Cameron is a w**k, Boris is actually a bigger w**k but he has the popular touch and wins elections. I don't trust either of them as far as what they believe in goes, but I'd prefer to see any of them there than that bent faced economically illiterate socialist c**t Miliband anyday. SouthEnclosure
Let's get out and look after ourselves, forget about the 30 million or so unemployed, and basket case economies over there. The world is the UKs oyster.
