Scottish Amateur Cup 5th rd replay 14/02/2015

Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts 1 v 2 Wishaw high School FPs

Home side opened the scoring when a long throw in was not dealt with at The FPs back post and Blair McPake was allowed time to turn 8 yards out and his well hit shot put the home side 1-0 up. The lead was short lived however and FPs captain Ally Wilson nodded a long throw in from Mark Brady high into the net to level at 1-1. Both sides squandered decent chances to go ahead before the interval.
FPs got the winner mid-way through the 2nd period when yet another long throw in caused havoc in the home defence with James Hall lashing the ball home from 6 yards out when it fell kindly at his feet. Excellent battling display from us in the last 20 minutes after going down to 10 men when one of our subs was ordered off having only been on the park some 5 minutes. Inverkeithing threw the kichen sink at us in the last 10 minutes but thankfuly we managed to keep them out to set up a local derby on Saturday against Dalziel HSFPs over there in round 6. Best of luck to Inverkeithing for the rest of the season.

Sign them up for rob Roy then

Maybe we have already tried :P

Some cracking ties in that lot potentially. Hopefully the two local clubs to me can get through Harestanes and Campsie Minerva.

Fancy Harestanes for a League and cup double not sure which of the scottish and west though . ;)

Quarter Final

Tie 6 v Tie 8

Tie 1 v Tie 2

Tie 5 v Tie 4

Tie 7 v Tie 3

Some cracking ties in there. Pick of the ties got to be Greenock High School FPs v Harestanes. Greenock HSFPs got to be confident after their win against Hurlford and Harestanes are playing exceptionally well and seem to be a lot of poples favourites. The replay between Doune Castle and Southside this Saturday should also be a cracker. Heard the 1st game was a well contested tie with nothing between the 2 teams. Good luck to all sides still in the draw.

Considering both Blantyre and greenock play in the central premier and play top sides week in week out they have every right to be there.

Like i said I see St pats or Campsie making the semi of this years comp and they are both down the wrong end of that table.
