oneteaminglasgow
What's this thing about 'strategic booing'? Seen it pop up on a lot of match threads recently but not a clue what's it's all about.
banana
What's the history of P&B? Did it start off as a forum for a particular club/set of clubs? How did it develop and grow? Dates? Ira Gaines
It started as a St Mirren forum I think.

Swarley
2003. Grew and developed after the fall of one of the early style types of forum that I believe Div frequented. This. Someone with a better memory than me will no doubt give the full story but there was a Scottish football forum called Scottish Football Forum (or something). It suffered from a ridiculous amount of database crashes and downtime. Credit to whoever ran it though. Then news of a new forum called Pie and Bovril surfaced and a lot/most of the regulars from the Scottish Football Forum (or something) migrated across. The rest, as they say, is history. Edit to add: just noticed this on Wikipedia Germany and France celebrate the 40th anniversary of their friendship in Versailles (Elysée Treaty). Pie and Bovril (P&B) Scottish Football forum launched, and still going strong to this day. Edited December 29, 2014 by Swarley
Quentin Taranbino
Is there any Scottish forum bigger/busier than Pie and Bov? It surely has to be one of the biggest in Scotland
invergowrie arab
Now old enough to have forum nostalgia. The first one I used was the rivals.net forums but they binned Scottish football due to the hassle of moderating and trying to keep it legal between l two particular sets of fans. Scottishfitba.net was decent until the trolls completely took over. Utdmad, believe it or not, was really good around the mid noughties including United v Dundee matches and nights out. The bralt brought me here but I stayed for word association.

PWL
Good stuff, chaps. So any of the original migrators or posters still active and well known? I was a user of both the Rivals and Scottish Fitba.net sites. As you can see from my profile, I joined P&B at the start of the 2003 launch but mainly lurk rather than post. The Rivals model was attempt to get Fan run sites for all Eng & Scot sides. I seem to remember only Queen of the South having any great lower league sucess with it.
Fuctifano
I used to post on scottish football online which was the forerunner to p&b in the early 2000s. On my phone but think the full site still says join date under your avatar and mine would be March 2003. In the early days the main forum was the first division forum and Falkirk and St Mirren had by far the 2 biggest % of supporters. So much so that there was actually a "stadium" sub forum created to deal with threads surrounding Falkirk (and others) new grounds.

That must be a typo, it started on January the 22nd 2003 ... and 'Div' wasn't even a member
