Question Time

I almost feel sorry for Dugdale. Completely out of her depth and pushed into a position that maybe, just maybe, she would have been able to fill 10 years down the line.

The complete paucity of talent at SLab is a combination of factors, not the least of which is that they have done nothing in the last 20 years that is going to attract genuinely talented and committed people to their cause.

It will take a long time for them to rebuild but history may judge the expunging of the deadwood earlier this year will be a blessing in disguise.

The situation will fix itself in time. The worst part of it from a SLAB perspective is that they haven't even hit rock bottom yet. They won't be making a comeback till we're in a independent Scotland and the SNP have notably declined from what we've become accustomed to now. One of the first things they need to do is split from their London branch, but sadly the political will doesn't exist.

Just caught up on this.

As has been said, Dugdale comes across as an cliché-spouting undergraduate. Just a load soundbytes which are now going over people's heads.

She completely lacks conviction and it comes across that she's just saying things which may be popular rather than having firm policies and sticking to them. She's a bit transparent in that respect and lacks credibility.

when you think about how representative question time like to make the audience for these shows it was quite astonishing that her (well rehearsed ) speech didn't get a single clap or even a polite hear hear.

Yep. I said to the Mrs that even people with extreme views on QT, such as racist UKIPpers or rabid far right media journos, usually get a least a smattering of applause.

She got f**k all.

f**k.

All.

Just watched it.

Usually they get some applause because they say something/anything. Kez little speak was utter forgettable by the time she was in her last sentence.

What amazes me is that people backed scottish labours scaremongering by voting no. Now that the so called pledge hasn't happened labour should quite rightly be banished from existence until they reevaluate what they stand for instead of career politics.
