What a player O'Hara is by the way. Sums Lee Clark up getting rid of genuine talent.

Most of our fans liked O'Hara and I hope he has a good career but you and your fellow Dee appear to have made the common mistake of shooting your load too soon. It'll be interesting to see if opinions change during the season.

What you have though is a very young player with plenty of experience and Hartley may make him even better especially if he avoids playing him in either full back role.

He's been a destroyer through the whole of pre season and carried that on yesterday.

He's raw but his energy and drive forward are exactly what we need. As you say he's young so he will make mistakes and possibly tail off but the potential is pretty tremendous.

Why was he never played in midfield for Killie?

Did Ohara ever get a run of games as an attacking midfielder? Hartley signed him and said no one, including the player, could understand why he'd been played in defence.

We've been playing him in front of the two holding midfielders, all through pre season and again on Saturday he's been a machine. Picks the ball up deep, runs past players like they're not there and involved in two of our three goals on Saturday.

Early days but so far he's bossing games and dictating the tempo every time he plays. Looks to be a top midfielder.

Well done Paul Hartley for seeing in O'hara that four Killie managers didn't.

That's not the sort of behaviour we encourage at RP tbf

Playing players in effective positions?

What fresh hell is this?

He improved by having AJ and GL retrogress all the other players around him.

Josh is an absolute diddy and to get anything for him, at this stage in his contract, in criminal.

Pish.

I really don't understand the Josh haters in our support. Without him, we'd have been relegated last year - it's as simple as that.

Obviously he can be effective purely through being a battering ram and his goals were vital for you last season, but that's a ridiculous amount of money for a player as limited as Magennis. You could fairly point out that relegation would cost you a lot more than £275K, but that money may give you some scope to bring in some more players, who maybe won't be utter shite like the vast majority of your summer signings.
