Deefiant
Exact same vein as the Paul McGowan thread yet the thread is deleted twice? Where is the equality? P&B and Paul McGowan deserve an answer. #justiceforgowser
Pull My Strings
Not exactly the same. McGowan had already been convicted and was awaiting sentence whereas Paton has even been tried yet. Edit: for the sake of any dim sorts the above should obviously read: "hasn't even been tried". Apologies for the confusion. Make sure to look both ways before crossing the road. WendyWho?
The proceedings against Paton are still active. He's yet to stand trial. The OP - and Pie and Bovril - could be help in contempt of court. That's why they're being deleted. Sake.

Deefiant
Was the statement "Paul McGowan going to jail" not in and of itself potentially prejudicial to the process seeing as no judgement had yet been made? Could be seen as trying to influence the outcome IMO. Looks even worse since Paul McGowan in fact did not go to jail.
KD1711
Will there be a jail cell big enough to hold his jaw if he is guilty?
Pull My Strings
What does "has even been tried" even mean? Could be a typo. Think really hard at the context of the sentence and then see if you can spot the mistake. You might want to sit down in a cool, dark place first to make sure you don't overheat. The media etc is not seen as having the power to influence a sheriff so it's fine.

We have no power to prejudice that case either surely? Shitebaggery of the highest order.

The proceedings against McGowan became inactive when the Sheriff deferred sentencing on March 19, at which time reporting restrictions were lifted. The proceedings against Paton are still active. He's to stand trial in October before a jury.
