Mr Bairn
Can you point me to the piece of legislation that calls for 5 year fixed terms at Holyrood I suspect you will be unable to, because, as per usual, you're talking shite
xbl.
Can you point me to the piece of legislation that calls for 5 year fixed terms at Holyrood Holrood already uses fixed 5 year terms. Last election 2011, next election 2016. One after that will be 2021. That prevents any clash with Westminster. I hate to agree with the toadying Unionist, but I think he's right. 03, 07, 11, then the next was due to be 2015, but our London masters changed their dates and then insisted we move ours. The clash is their fault, as I believe we legislated for 4 year terms first. They should move their dates.
H_B
You'd think, based on the law of averages, that at some point oaksoft would manage to be right about something. And yet, the wait goes on..

xbl.
Settle. He got the fixed terms thing a bit wrong (as far as I'm aware). Its a bit of a mistake. Its not exactly MH-17, fighting a land war in Asia, or the Lib Dems.

I'm surprised he takes time out of his day job (ie Permanent seethe at the existence of Mhairi Black MP) to even bother making comments on other matters
Elixir
Did anyone else clock one or two of the other polls released after the TNS one? Fairly sure one was 53% and the other was 55%.
xbl.
Anyone see the EU poll? Well that blows a hole in the "Scotch are no different" claim of the unionists here.
Alan Stubbs
Anyone see the EU poll? Well that blows a hole in the "Scotch are no different" claim of the unionists here. 66% to 49% in favour of staying in. I've been reading on here for ages now that a) Scotland is politically the same as the rest of the UK and b) the EU referendum is a non-event because of the lack of support for an exit. Not sure either of those arguments look too clever just now.

Or even if it showed a majority wanting to leave!

Crùbag
That would be a remarkable result. 66%+49%=115%! Can't ask for more than 115% effort. Anyway, given their current mess in London, I expect Kezia/ Ken to tie themselves in knots over the #Labstain disgrace and to further dig their party into the grave. Bunch of spineless losers. Revised predictions: SNP - 88% Greens - 19% Tories - 18 % Red Tories - 17% LibDem Homosex is a Sin Party - 8% Socialist Splinter group - 4% Ukip - 0%
