the_bully_wee
Odds on Morton to be relegated next season? Sounds like you're going to be run into the ground. Sad!
cilitbang
Lets be honest, this division has been pure bantz all round this season.
GiGi
Quality! JJ was a dud anyway.
MarkoRaj
Seen better players kept from playing for similar reasons. It's a meaninglessness fixture. Genuinely don't see the issue
Reggie Perrin
Diddies until the end.

Colkitto
Not fussed about JJ but this is very concerning
tonnitus
Why would you not want to keep Telfer? Why would you let your management team walk over an issue surrounding 1 player? Crawford Rae is an absolute c**t of a man. Hawke was more bearable when he had no actual input on anything. Sack the board ffs
CaspianChris
Even if useless and deserved to be sacked, the circumstances about the reason over the resignations especially the financial aspects seem to be extremely concerning. The last thing needed is for another decent local Scottish club to suffer a horrible future, hopefully Morton can get a decent board in at some point and build for the future. With the exception of the horrid Glasgow green and blue duo, I would like to see Scottish clubs do well regardless of rivalry.
port-ton
What a beautiful day. Managed to get rid of another dud management team without compensation.Giving a high earner a new contract in a meaningless game rather than giving a new manager a chance to decide if he wants to keep him or not doesn't make financial sense when we need to make the most of our budget next season.Only downside is that we were stupid enough to offer contracts with those clauses in it to loads of players last summer which is crazy at this level.

port-ton
There's a lot bigger and richer clubs than morton that have had boards tell a manager not to play players due a contract extension or extra payments needing to be made to the club they signed them from. Just don't see how this decision in isolation in a meaningless final game of the season means the impending doom that some people think. Today is a day for celebration. The money we saved on compensation for the two diddies can offer telfer a new contract if the new manager wanted.

Arsenal did it with Oxlade-Chamberlain. I don't think there's anything diddy about it at all, tbh. Just good sense. You were clearly bagging JJ at the end of the season anyway so no point lumbering the new guy with a player he might not have wanted.
tonnitus
As it turns out, JJ and Houston were already told their contracts would be up at the end of May. So they walked when they were also told they couldn't play Telfer. Don't actually mind that with the extra JJ/Housty contract info tbh.

Don't really understand JJ flouncing out in a huff over a borderline friendly. Does he think he will have another job to go to?
