GordieBoy80
October began with a 0-0 home draw with Morton then we beat Dunfermline 1-0 before another 0-0 this time with Raith. We then beat Elgin City 5-3 in the Cup after being 5-1 up at half-time. Sitting 2nd in the league with only goal difference separating us from the top. Can't complain tbh. GordieBoy80
November was a shit month, we lost to Motherwell and Forfar before drawing with Falkirk and Livingston. We then lost to St. Mirren (AGAIN!) in the Cup Down to 6th but we need to start winning again, this losing thing's getting to be a bad habit. GordieBoy80
December began with yet another match with St.Mirren and yet another defeat 3-1 this time. This was followed up with losses to Inverness and Raith. We then played Dunfermline and after being 3-1 up chucked it away and drew 3-3. I decided to make a slight tweak with instructions and mentality, changing from direct passing to route 1 and moving from attacking to counter as I accept that virtually every side in the league are better than us before we played Falkirk and we drew 0-0. Seem to be in freefall here...
GordieBoy80
The new year and we suddenly remembered how to win a game beating Motherwell 3-1 at home, that was followed up with a 2-2 draw with Forfar where we again chucked a 2 goal lead. A 0-0 at Livingston was next up before we played (YAWN) St. Mirren again but this time we managed a 2-1 win. We finished the month off with a couple of 1-1 draws against Inverness and Morton. Next match, a Fife derby against Raith is the proverbial 6 pointer..
GordieBoy80
The match against Raith ended 0-0 and then we beat Dunfermline 3-1. The last match of the month we went 1-0 up courtesy of a 89th minute penalty at Fir Park, sadly the defence saw this as a cue to go to sleep and we ended up losing 2-1. Next match is another one of those 6 pointer things, this time against Falkirk. Beating them would make us 10 points clear of the relegation play-off spot. GordieBoy80
The match against Falkirk didn't go so well.. They handed us a 7-2 pumping, we then took out our frustrations on bottom club Forfar winning 4-1 before we drew 0-0 with Livingston. The good news is that we can't be relegated automatically... GordieBoy80
Loving this btw. Are your financial troubles of the past now clear? Nope, got a balance of around -£2.5m now and still got no backing from the board.
GordieBoy80
The first match of April was a 2-1 defeat to Inverness before our 6th and final match of the season with St.Mirren that ended in a 1-1 draw. There are two matches left of the season and all we have to do is better Raith and we avoid the relegation play-off. A win against Morton will confirm safety for us while Raith MUST win away at league leaders Inverness to avoid the play-off regardless of our result. If things don't go our way then it will come down to a showdown at Stark's Park
GordieBoy80
Morton v Burntisland f**k. Could Inverness do us a favour? Inverness v Raith Fucking bottle merchants.
GordieBoy80
So it all comes down to the final day. A point is enough for us, Raith MUST win so what happened? Not a great performance but we did just enough. Final table

GordieBoy80
The season began really badly with lower league opposition in the shape of Brechin and Stenhousemuir dumping us out of the Cups at the first round stage we then lost at Fir Park in the first league before getting pumped by Livingston at home. The final league match of the month saw us lose at East End Park after conceding a 90th minute goal. Seeing as we were sitting bottom of the league and struggling I decided to go to the board and ask them once again to consider sitting up a loan with a parent club. They once again said no so I told them do it or I walk... I think in all honesty I have taken the Shipyard as far as I can realistically as a bank balance of nearly -£4 million means that 2nd best team in Fife is the tip of our aspirations. Will keep the thread open to document my progress post Burntisland though.
GordieBoy80
I've played the game until January without applying for any jobs, even though I've been linked with many. I have now added a poll to the opening post for people to vote on where the application for my next job should head based on the clubs currently without a manager.
