He's their 3rd choice keeper, and helps fill their home-grown quota. He hasn't played in a competitive game for over 4 years.

Earning almost £500k a year for training for a couple of hours every day at the age of 38?

Sounds amazing, especially considering thats the lowest he'll have earned while at City.

Oh I'd love it as a job, but the guy has played 3 games in the last 5 years. For someone who became first choice at Ipswich in his teens, played for England at 23 and has played Champion's League football, that's not great.

As an England fan it's infuriating that our two most technically gifted players (Sturridge and Wilshere) are made of balsa wood and blu-tack.

It's a shame to see such talent blighted by injury.

Sturridge off just before the hour. What a comeback.
