Nothing scheduled for that weekend in the 3. Liga or the next tier down, Regionalliga Nordost. There is one game scheduled for the 12th between Zehlendorf & Staaken in the Oberliga NOFV-Nord (Tier 5). Zehlendorf is between Berlin & Potsdam, ca. 10 miles from the Brandenburg Gate.

Cheers guys thought it was unlikely, was in Dortmund for the koln game in April (0-0) my mate had a a German style denim jacket with patches on including bayern and schalke but survived the yellow wall! Wouldn't have got away with anything red and white at st james'.

Other idea floated not by me was hertha one day and st Pauli the next, seems a lot of traveling to me.

Wolfsburg is just over an hour away, and as long as they´re not playing Bayern, easy to get tickets for.

H96‘s promising start to the season, which was starting to stutter, came to an end with them losing their 1st game at home in over a year.

Early lead after 10 minutes for Frankfurt, which was cancelled out by a header from a free-kick by Salif Sanè. Thereafter a bit of a meh game with Eintracht grabbing all 3 points with an 89th minute winner.

Next up a trip to Augsburg (with overnight), then on the Sunday to Wolfsburg against Hoffenheim (tipping club from the local bar). Cup game away to Wolfsburg the following Wednesday.

Good result for Borussia away to strugglers Werder Bremen, 2-0 at half time and 2-0 it finished. Hazard was fantastic but his finishing letting him down (as always) and Stindl... what a fuckin boy! Go look for his goal, the way he turned that lad and scored from the acute angle across the keeper just sums up what a fuckin cracking player he is!

5th in the BL, playing decent fitbaw and home to Bayer 04 on Saturday! I’m sure @Adamski is out there for that game, hopefully it’s a good one!!

Yup - heading over on Friday and really looking forward to it. Two nights in Dusseldorf with Monchengladbach v Leverkusen on Saturday and Mannheim v Kickers Offenbach on Sunday.

Düsseldorf is a tremendous place for a bevvy session. Just stay away from the Flamingo Club if you are pulling an all nighter.

A god-awful 7 hour journey (replacement bus service with a missed connection in Würzburg), but all good at the end if the day as H96 did a ‚smash & grab‘ job taking all 3 points in a proverbial game of two halves.
1st half H96 unable to string 2 passes together or get out of their own half, though in saying that Augsburg didn‘t have too many cast-iron efforts & needed a deflected shot to go in 1 up at half-time.
2nd half H96 much more livelier. Turning point being Nickas Füllkrug coming on mid way through the half, bagged the equaliser shortly thereafter. After Jonathas f‘n up a one on one Füllkrug then got the winner in the 89th minute.
Stayed over in Augsburg which is well worth visiting.
WWK Arena seems to have had a ‚birds-nest‘ type makeover since last being there, is also easy to get to with trams every couple of minutes to & from on match days. Only ‚fun‘ beer available in the away end  11279d9bddf421e2fcd0b7adcf28d0bb.jpgb8d5c00fb5cb6e490ac4e6db6bf320e6.jpg91873263e63e57f31f84a9fed377fc7d.jpg

Think I'm going to be in Bremen the weekend 15th-17th December, I see Werder are due to be playing on the Saturday at the moment - any idea when this will be confirmed and are tickets easy enough to come by?

Home now from an excellent weekend of German football.

We were at Monchengladbach v Leverkusen on Saturday. Monchengladbach's ground is shiny and new, but it's one hell of a way out of town - 20-odd minutes on a bus from the nearest station, which isn't in Monchengladbach itself. We inadvertently managed to end up on a bus full of Leverkusen fans, and it was a police escort from there, which was a new experience for me. The fans we met were a friendly bunch, who couldn't understand why we weren't drinking on the way to the game (it was around midday, and pretty much everyone had their carry out in tow and the police were fine with it - we didn't realise that it was OK to do that there). There's a good fanpark outside the ground with bars, food etc which made up for our lack of carry out. For me, the ground itself could probably do with a bit of time to 'mature' - in the same way as I like watching football at places like Cappielow and Somerset instead of Livingston or McDiarmid in Scotland. We were behind the goal and right beside the Leverkusen fans. Monchengladbach bossed the first half, going in 1-0 at half time and could have had a couple more, but what a turnaround in the second 45 minutes - five goals from Leverkusen, who had offered little up to that point, and the biggest collapse I'd seen since the first half of Brazil v Germany in 2014. It finished 1-5, with all six goals being scored right in front of us, which was a bonus. The Leverkusen fans were understandably loving it and were very watchable from where we were sitting, even though watching them meant being on the receiving end of quite a few middle fingered salutes, given that they'll have had us down as MG fans.

Yesterday was Regionalliga local derby and near top of the table clash between Waldhof Mannheim v Kickers Offenbach, or sheisskickers as the home fans repeatedly sung. Overall it was a much more gritty sort of atmosphere. It's three leagues down, but still a crowd that I'd estimate was around 8-9000. The bits outside the ground probably haven't changed in 2-3 decades with wee food/drink tents, unofficial club shops, etc. We could happily have spent longer hanging around there. It all felt quite similar to going to a lot of games at around Queens's level or just above, apart from that the Mannheim fans were possibly the most mental fans I've ever been in amongst - turned out that our seats were right in the ultras section. The singing was fantastic, everyone wore black, there was a general air of edginess, and everyone looked ready for bovver if it materialised. I had my phone out at one point and was politely advised that it probably wasn't a good idea. The girl standing beside me spent the first half smoking the biggest reefer I've ever seen. It finished 2-0 to Mannheim although we had to leave before the end to catch our train to the airport. Not the most enthralling of games but the fans and general atmosphere made it worth a visit.

Last season the exact dates and times for the games in December were announced at the beginning of October. Not sure why the round 15, 16 & 17 still haven't been confirmed yet. Would  imagine will be in the next 10 days.

Bremen are due to play Mainz, so tickets should be relatively easy to purchase. Ticketing site for Bremen is here. Unfortunately clicking on "English" just takes you to the main start page in English. Tickets for the Mainz game aren't available as yet. (Pre-sale for members finished yesterday, so will no doubt be up soon).

Haven't made a game yet, hoping to in December after getting paid. Die Eftze have started horrifically and if they can't beat Breman at home, they're as good as doomed.
Thinking of taking in Victoria Köln or Fortuna soon for a smaller match experience.
