The Blue Brasilion
From Cowden's Facebook page: The segregation arrangements for Saturday's Petrofac Training Cup tie against Raith Rovers are as follows : Cowdenbeath fans will be housed in the new and old stands, entering by turnstiles 1-4 (right hand side of turnstile block) at the High Street end. Raith Rovers fans will be housed on the south terracing and will enter by turnstiles 5-8 (left hand side of turnstile block) at the High Street end. Admission prices for this match are £14 Adult and £7 Concession (under 16 or 65 and over). Crap, was looking forward to being on the terracing. Hope its heavy rain all match now
liam_barnett
Bit on the Rovers preview "Cowdenbeath have constructed a covered area trackside at the Northwest corner of the main stand (per signage) and wheelchair users and carers will be accommodated there." no mention of the elderly or other disabled people though or us that want to get out of the rain! I would imagine any of the older Rovers fans could go in the stand if they wanted to as long as they weren't wearing club colours at the turnstiles. Not ideal but I think that's what I would do. Scary Bear
I've decided to take in this diddy cup clash of the titans of Fife. The two best teams in Fife go Mano a Mano. There can be only one winner and Rovers have a dying relative. Weather looks acceptable and we're on the terracing. Cowden are 7/4 on the coupon for anyone wanting an insurance policy. Raith Against The Machine
What kind of football have Cowden been playing pre-season? Lots of kick and rush or is Colin Nish a proponent of the passing game?
San Starko Rover
McKinnon seems to have misspelled McGurn on his team sheet

Raith Against The Machine
Neither keeper was particularly overworked today. The only real half decent passing move in the game led to our goal. Very scrappy game, both teams throwing themselves around a little bit. Really hope the injuries to Vaughan and (more so ) Toshney aren't serious. We don't really have the back up available at the moment.
CowdenConvert
Awful display from the officials today. Totally conned by the Raith players. Particular highlights being Vaughan and Toshneys dives, Hughes getting booked for kicking the ball into a Raith player but the best was McKeown falling over his feet near the end and winning a free kick. The football was forgettable from both sides.
Broken Algorithms
Not much in that game. One bit of good passing work between our front pairing gave us the win. First time seeing Raith under McKinnon. Toshney looked solid until he went off and handled everything that came at him. Bates put in a good shift and hopefully it will help him adjust to the level. Similarly, Elliot Ford looked to adjust ok which is nice. We ended up playing four of our youth players today, which must be the highest number in years. In midfield, McCord had a quiet game but came into it more when Cowden switched to a 4-2-4 towards the end. Craigen looked quite lively although he looked quite makeshift on the wing. Also felt Anderson struggled at times today. Up top it was good to see Vaughan and Stewart continue their partnership with a goal. Wighton came on at half time and looked very good with the ball at his feet. We really need to avoid giving him the ball in the air. He looked like he really struggled with headers throughout the game. Overall, it was straight forward enough for us. Cowden didn't really trouble Cuthbert. Have to say it was hilarious seeing the Cowden fans moaning at McKeown for the blatant foul he was on the end of, before the lad squared in the box at the end. McGuigan1978
Toshney was on crutches at the end, which is a bit concerning. Hope Vaughan's injury isn't too bad either.

Growl3th
Real sign of wee team-itis from the Blue Brazil today. Moaning about everything and going into tackles recklessly. Surprised they ended the game with 11 players on the pitch. We didn't play great but we didn't have to. JOB DONE!
