Your Tory chums offered one, and your brothers and sisters in England and Wales decided Scotland should leave with them (which you embrace). You had a chance to get a regionalist government elected to Holyrood in May. You had every opportunity to sell to people the idea that Scotland should do what England and Wales want regarding the EU, and like it. You failed. Any second referendum is as much your fault as the SNP's. Which is rather delicious. The promise of an EU Ref won Cameron his season ticket as PM because it appeased the Tory euro sceptic backbenchers, we're going to have to make the best of that now, but it still doesn't make sense to break the Union. Granted, it's a difficult argument to make, especially as 62% of us voted to remain, but wee Ruthie ( from the inside) will make a better shot of protecting Scotlands immediate interests than 'come ahead, have a square go' Sturgeon! The fact of the UK's unwritten, jury rigged constitution means that Scotland's position and interests must be fiercely debated and renegotiated on a near dailly basis, otherwise it'll be steamrollered under Westminster's centralising agency.
