Diddy cup until you reach the final : Fair play to Rory McAllister, fantastic player, pounced on every single mistake we made. Really was an awful performance from the defence though, can't imagine we'll be that poor again. Couple positives to take from tonight. Miller played better than I thought he would. Individual errors, a lack of cohesion and worst of all, the way we stood off and let them play. All 5 goals came from our mistakes and McAllister was ruthless in front of goal (a couple of classy finishes in there, especially the 4th). Not to say Peterhead didn't play some neat stuff at times; I just thought the goals were avoidable on our part. Thought Miller made a decent enough debut, winning everything in the air. But should have pulled after about an hour as he looked knackered. Don't want to be too harsh on him, but that was a golden chance at 4-3. Baird and McHugh looked lively enough, but I felt our best attacking threat was Smith. Always looking to beat a man and get a cross. The midfield two were poor IMO. Houston shot himself in the foot leaving out Sibbald and Kerr. We badly needed a bit of creativity when we were trailing, but he'd left himself no options on the bench. Still struggling to comprehend that we shipped 5 to a team from the league below. We could/should have had that sewn up by half time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ToonBairn Posted August 18, 2015 Share Posted August 18, 2015 What a strange game of football that was. 2-0 up and cruising (should have been 3) then bang, the arse collapses. Get ourself back in to at 3-3 and think only one team should go on.... The defensive errors throughout the team was awful. Peterheeds 3rd goal in particular was embarrassing.
