Would hazard a guess Edinburgh South is more an anti-SNP thing, East Lothian is a maybe. Fair point.

The Edinburgh South thing is to do with it having the highest proportion of English people in Scotland, most of whom are Edinburgh University students. Students typically want to vote left but being English, not many of them vote SNP. It's not anti-SNP tactical voting per se. Labour hold the Midlothian seat at WM as well, that overall region is the last remaining Labour heartland in Scotland.

Support for nuclear disarmament.  A policy that Labour was told would make them unelectable.

Got a Tory leaflet for the Inverness Central by-election today and I see they're running on the vote for our candidate to stop indyref2 stuff again.  Not quite sure how that works to be honest, as the local council has little to do with it.
