eckthearab
Superb display from Edmund, both today and Friday. Home tie v Argentina in semis, as long as no f uck ups lol
die hard doonhamer
Break up in the third. Mighty impressive from Edmund.

Sooky
Who needs Andy Murray, eh?!Assuming Murray plays in semi's though, there is no reason we can't retain this.
dogmc
That's a mighty performance to secure a qf win without Murray

eckthearab
Superb, 5 out of last 6 points in tiebreak. Be good if they brought semi to Glasgow but probably unlikely.

die hard doonhamer
I thought Andy was hosting something there in September? No idea, but they looked in to it for the semi last year, I'm sure. Although I've just googled it and maybe it was just schedule that meant they couldn't use it. I was sure I'd read that the roof was too low.

Sure they've played Davis Cup games in Glasgow before at the Commonwealth arena.
eckthearab
They played USA last year at the Emirates.
eckthearab
Is that the commonwealth arena? I honestly don't know
Loki
Andy Murray is playing Gael Monfils at the Hydro, and he also plays doubles with his brother Vs Gael and Tim Henman. The roof is certainly not too low, it's fucking huge!

The roof is certainly not too low, it's fucking huge! I was going to post the same, having been in the Emirates and the Hydro I find it hard to believe that the roof in the Hydro would be any lower.
TheScarf
Yep, the Hydro's roof is miles up, definitely nothing to stop tennis matches being played there. Must've just been a scheduling clash. Edmund was simply wonderful today, from the first game to the last. He played liked a seasoned top 10-er IMO. Great serving, consistent, deep cross court forehands to open up the court for a down-the-line winner. And his chipped, deep returns had Lajovic in all sorts of bother all day.
ajwffc
I think the problem with the Glasgow venues for the Emirates, Hydro or Braehead if there was a home final last year was capacity?
