We should take the Icelandic approach. Sack Strachan now. Promote all of our U21 players to the senior side. This piece on Icelandic football is worth reading http://thesefootballtimes.co/2015/01/15/the-icelandic-roadmap-to-success/

This is also good http://www.espnfc.co.uk/team/iceland/470/blog/post/2599399/secret-behind-iceland-euro-2016-qualification

That's basically my thoughts. I would keep 1 experienced player per position in the squad though.

Our 2018 qualification squad is gonna look very different to this one, got a lot of old boys out there at the moment.

Hope Strachan can see sense and start putting guys like Griffiths, Shinnie and Gms ect in the first 11 now and develop our team. 20 years is a pretty long running joke, it's not really funny anymore.

Why would he? He does that now, we get pumped he loses his job.

If the sfa came out and said that was the plan no c**t would go to the matches bar England. No win situation. Do you think everyone would be okay getting pumped off Lithuania at home with a team full of youngsters?

Scotland played Iceland in the under 21 qualifier a few years back. Both sides were fantastic. Most went on to play for Iceland national side that made the Euros. Hardly any of ours did. Iceland have lower expectations and the manager blooded them all and it worked. If we done it here the manager would be sacked within a couple of games.
