Silas Stingy
'Rain' the B-side to Paperback Writer has to be my favourite song by The Fab Four. My favourite number 1 single by them would probably be I Feel Fine. Hey Jude would of been better if the 'na, na, na, nananana' part was cut short by at least two minutes. BFTD
For every 2 or 3 good songs there was always 1 that was rank rotten. The Ballad of John and Yoko must be one of the worst songs off all time. Thrown in amongst Lady Madonna, Octopuses Garden, Fixing a Hole and Sun King which are all terrible awful musical compositions
Gareth_Glasgow
Just noticed I Feel Fine was second bottom, what a dreadful poll.
Musketeer Gripweed
I am a huge fan of The Beatles, but I absolutely hate the white album. There are a couple of decentish tracks, but I find it too smart for its own good. My favourite number one, Help! My favourite track goes to either In My Life or Twist & Shout. saint dave
Meant to say it's worth looking out the Let It Be...Naked tracks on YouTube. As it said in the countdown the songs without Phil Spectres over production are much improved , I think.
Bold Rover
As one who grew up during the revolution they brought, delivering us from Johnny Kidd and his Pirate chums: my favourite track from Sergeant Pepper and by The Beatles, is She's Leaving Home. It wasn't a single, therefore not a Number 1, but a wonderful, touching song.
