Mybitchunderprotest
No idea how it wasn't a straight red for the Peterhead player towards the end. As mentioned previously, it was a straight red. The ref hadn't booked him previously and just took out the wrong card, saw the colour of it as he flashed it and realising his error produced the red. mikedafc
If Charleston gives the foul against Strachan then he has to show Red Card for denying goalscoring opportunity, should have been penalty and yellow card for Airdrie keeper and was clear red card for Airdrie penalty. TrueDiamond
It was a goal scoring opportunity but not an obvious goal scoring opportunity, that is the crucial difference. You're playing semantics, clutching at straws in an attempt to mask the mistake, Blue Toon. I would challenge you to find anyone who really thinks that being left one on one with a keeper is NOT an obvious goal scoring opportunity. Any competent ref would rule that as a red card offence. As you are trying to allude the word 'obvious' is in Law12 and therefore important. The ref made a mistake. PS remember he is not allowed to take into account the competency (or not!) of the player left one on one.
blueone
As much as Charleston is a useless c**t, think he pretty much got the big decisions spot on. Strachan had to be a yellow as at no point did Morgan have the ball. Can't be an obvious goal scoring opportunity if he doesn't have possession and no one can say 100% that he would have got the ball, controlled it and had the chance to score. Parry is more 50/50 although his arms are up and he does catch McIntosh in the head so probably dangerous play. Noble's is no question a straight red. Cynical and no attempt to play the ball. What's the Ali G incident? Is it in the highlights?
touchedbymadness
That defending throughout from Airdrie is just so bad it hurts. Look at the central defenders positioning at the first. Lithgow doesnt even get turned, the striker just glides away. There's no cover from Crighton. The Morgan incident (through ball) is a clear sending off. I get annoyed at Morgan at the injury one as he always backs in, I thought at the time it's self inflicted. Theeir 2nd goal was a good strike, the 3rd was onside but a clear handball. But again, look at Crighton's reaction, he's painfully slow. And Bain's lack of cover/awareness. The 4th is another shit show. Crighton is doing nothing but 2 things are amateurish. Dont know who it is who shuts down their right winger b7t he just needs to stand that player up and jockey him but he dives in too easy. To compound that Bain see the danger man who scores but casually deals with him without a challenge. Anyone blaming the kid goalie needs a wake up call. Unfortunately for us, Bain, Crighton and Lithgow are several levels below L1 standard. Throughout Lithgow and Crighton playing as individuals and the midfield were drawn far too deep. EWB and his bench made no attempt to get them to push out

Blootoon87
Just watched the highlights. It looks to me like Strachan should have been sent off, still unsure about the Parry incident though. Probably just a yellow.
