Ned Nederlander
Imagine having the brass neck to fill such an important telly slot with even more 'whaur's the birds' !? MacAvennie wasn't even relevant the first time that shite excuse for a 'joke' was aired.
The Second Andy Goram
It'll be utter pish like it has been the last 10 years and it's about time it was binned. It's decline has almost mirrored Scottish Football itself. BBC Scotland should just throw big bucks at Kiernan & Hemple or the Burnistoun guys to make Hogmanay specials. Even old re-runs of Scotch & Wry would be far better. It's still had moments in the past decade, Chick interviewing Le Guen for example. Need new material but been using the same shite for 20 years.
The Master
Beginnings of a drinking game: Take a drink if: Frank McAvennie appears Graham Souness says "can I just say something here, yea for sure..." A scene filmed at Firhill comes on pretending to be at any ground other than Hampden (or Firhill, I suppose) Jim White appears Charlie Nicholas appears and rambles incoherently Chick Young laughs Take 2 drinks if: Frank McAvennie says "whaurs the burds" (or similar) Frank McAvennie looks creepy around women A scene filmed at Firhill comes on pretending to be at Hampden Down it if: A sketch is even remotely funny Feel free to add more

Ira Gaines
Burnistoun is hit and miss, but is waaaaayyyyyyy more miss than hit. I'd give that the same time of day at new year as I'm giving Only An Excuse. None.

It will be the same old pish and folk will be on here moaning about it being the same old pish! At least 20 years past its sell by date, was good back in the day but like a lot of things from the 80s and 90s hasn't aged well. itzdrk
I remember being a wee guy watching new year telly. Can't fathom why an adult would watch it. I was stuck in the other year as I had to work NYD and just watched films/tv I enjoyed.
