Jim McLean's Ghost
If Jamie Walker isn't one of the best 50 players in Scotland then none of our players are. He has potential but that isn't what this list is about since it includes John Baird who has no potential to do anything beyond the championship is on it. vikingTON
Thundermonkey was always short odds to be the first tear-stained Falkirk fanboy to miss the point of the thread entirely. GazFFC must be gutted at missing out on the prize though.

No, it's about the top 50 players in Scotland, which is a list Walker should be included in. He's arguably the best player for the third best team in the country - a team that has wilted since he got injured. He also played a key part in Hearts romping the Championship. If anything, he should be higher.
forkboy
Liam Boyce is very good, I agree with the people writing the list.
Hammer Jag
Disappointed not to see Callum Booth, Stevie Lawless and Stuart Bannigan in the top 50, tbh Lawless and Bannigan are hilarious omissions given some of the dross from the Championship that's been thrown in. I'm sure they'll both recover from this shattering blow though.
SteveThePirate
Walker is our best player. Nicholson down at 48 seems awfy low. Few questionable choices but never going to please everyone.
RussellAnderson
The list is the top players in 2015, meaning it's all about form. There's a few I disagree with (Pearson, Armstrong too high, Gordon, Denayer too low, wouldn't have put Rossi in there.) but on the whole it's a good representation of the Scottish football year. Baird has scored for fun this year, but at a lower level hence he's at 29 not top 10. Ryan Jack possibly could've been there, but we're well represented and he's probably behind our players mentioned. Big fan of lists as well so it's always good to see journos getting their compiling hats on.

The Grass Is Greener.
I smell shite. John Baird #29. Sorry that's just comedy. It's based on form, he's had an excellent 2015. Wouldn't have had him that high though.
Insert Amusing Pseudonym
Zeefuik absolutely ruined the Championship. It's being overrated by the Scotsman.

Quality centre half who's arguably been our player of the year so far.

Really don't get the John Baird hate. He's a livewire in a good side and it's payed dividends last year!

Really don't get the John Baird hate. He's a livewire in a good side and it's payed dividends last year! It's because he's played in the top flight before, and shown that he's absolutely not good enough for this level. The suggestion that he's the 29th best player in Scotland, even if it's on form alone, is laughable.

Again, not the 29th best player in Scotland, but had the 29th biggest impact on 2015's Scottish football. A player like, for example, Nadir Cifcti is obviously a better striker but had a poor 2015, hence not on the list.
RussellAnderson
Forgot he was at Thistle too, but again, not relevant to the list. Didn't play for them in 2015.

Again, not the 29th best player in Scotland, but had the 29th biggest impact on 2015's Scottish football. Well no he didn't - he was playing for a bunch of jobbers in the Championship, so had next to no "impact" on Scottish football in 2015. If you went by your ludicrous definition, then any player who were stand-outs for their club - at League One, even League Two level - would also merit a place based on their form and "impact" at their respective level of the game. But that's clearly not the criteria in place, nor should it be. Much like the Sportscene package, the criteria seems to involve a hilariously limited analysis of the top flight, merged with a cherry-picked selection of the inferior lower tier 'talent' to 'prove the worth' of a handful of clubs in the second tier to Scottish football. Do you (and anyone else sharing this view) believe that the fifty best footballers in Scotland in 2015 all exclusively played in the Premiership?
