There is a debate to be had about the ethics of Halal and Kosher food. There is no debate to be had about whether everyone involved in the preparation of Halal food are supporters of ISIS.

The man is a daft racist arsehole.

He’s also a shit singer.  I have no time for him and wasn’t supporting his position.  I limited myself to a specific point which was part of the wider narrative.

I don't think the vote was the point, it was just a symbolic vote on a motion used so they could debate the issue in parliament. Not that I want to defend what Labour are doing over Syria which is both disingenuous and confused, as yesterday proved.

Sorta looks like you are trying to defend it.

The plot thickens. If Lavrov's claims are correct this will surely be the end of May, Johnson and the rest.

I'm defending that specific point. There is a lot of legitimate stuff to attack Labour on regarding Syria but that isn't one of them.

I agree. The motion was purely about getting the issue discussed in politics and Corbyn gave a good rebuke of May’s strikes. If chemical weapons and other war crimes are our red line then we should be bombing Saudi positions in Yemen. Unfortunately a vote is pointless when you have melts like John Woodcock who are shills for abhorrent regimes abroad and love to bomb poor brown people.

As it was clearly shown in the detailed and technical presentation, we should not have an iota
of doubt on the reliability of the system of the OPCW Designated Laboratories. The Labs
were able to confirm the identity of the chemical by applying existing, well-established
procedures. There was no other chemical that was identified by the Labs. The precursor of
BZ that is referred to in the public statements, commonly known as 3Q, was contained in the
control sample prepared by the OPCW Lab in accordance with the existing quality control
procedures. Otherwise it has nothing to do with the samples collected by the OPCW Team in
Salisbury. This chemical was reported back to the OPCW by the two designated labs and the
findings are duly reflected in the report.

Not sure if this falls under general politics or not

Quite right.  Australia stealing our coins, France stealing our passports.  When will this madness end?

The Douma situation is looking worse for the Russian/Syria angle. The attack happened or not, next day the baddies and their families all leave on buses. Russians say they're in complete control, and send specialists in who find no evidence of a chemical attack. OPCW staff arrive Saturday in Damascus with full UN authorisation to visit site. The Syrians say they don't, but will be allowed to visit on Monday. They aren't. A compromise is made so a separate team of UN security people do a recce on Tuesday. They are faced by a mob on site 1, and small arms fire and a grenade on site 2. Syrians say they've been allowed to visit but quickly cancel it. The OPCW team are still in Damascus. Meanwhile journalists have been allowed to walk around at will.

You are probably more interested in attacking Labour (Corbyn ledLabour) than I am.  That’s because Corbyn, despite his flaws, has a genuine socialist perspective and you are nowhere near being a socialist.

HTH.
