The problem is the people being exploited in the production of cheap clothes. Solving this requires import tarrifs which counter the value of exploitation to the likes of Primark.

And put a load of Bangladeshis out of work.

Bangladeshi people would surely be better working in jobs where the end product/value created benefits Bangladesh rather than Primark shareholders and a tiny Bangladeshi elite.

There is no reason why Bangladesh has to be a sweat shop other than it suits it's rulers.

What jobs would you suggest? Primark should be forced to ensure that all workers making products for them are paid the local living wage at a minimum, and are not forced to work ridiculous hours to survive.

Former Bletchley Park worker and member of the House of Lords, Baroness Trumpington passed last night, but let’s not forget two of her most important contributions to British politics...

Exploitation is someone working a 40 hour + week in this country and still not being able to feed their family or heat their home.

I do get what you're saying, however I think it's about time that our politicians finally got the message that they should be looking after their own constituents rather than going on crusades that look good on their CV's.

Again, another reason why we have ended up with this Brexit shambles.............

The guy who wrote that dodgy blog about Rhea Wolfson has been expelled from the SNP. The blogosphere’s taken it well. https://randompublicjournal.com/2018/11/28/open-letter-to-the-snp/

Did you read the blog? It was a totally justified comparison. The fact that Rhea Wolfson is Jewish is irrelevant. Just look at the way Israel are behaving, Hitler would be proud of them.

Not sure it's wise electorally for the MP for Hackney and Shadow Home Secretary to be tweeting this. Hackney's had 3 thousand attacks and robberies by moped in the last 5 years.
