The BBC backed their reporter. You said Rangers do not cooperate with the bbc and that is not true. Monkey Tennis Posted May 21, 2016 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Off topic slightly but is there a reason why Hampden Park is considered as the same stadium as the one that existed prior to 1999 whereas the Wembley that was opened in 2007 is regarded as a "new" ground? They were both completely replaced, weren't they? Or are there some parts of Hampden that were part of the old ground? Wembley was completely rebuilt. Everything was bulldozed at once and the pitch shifted and rotated. What happened at Hampden was much less radical and much more gradual. The ground is essentially the same shape as before.
