It is. Rangers objected to something utterly innocuous from a reporter, as a means of galvanising the thickest elements of the support.

The BBC backed their reporter.

You said Rangers do not cooperate with the bbc and that is not true.

Other teams have actually banned bbc reporters and the bbc did not behave in this tawdry manner.

Off topic slightly but is there a reason why Hampden Park is considered as the same stadium as the one that existed prior to 1999 whereas the Wembley that was opened in 2007 is regarded as a "new" ground?

They were both completely replaced, weren't they? Or are there some parts of Hampden that were part of the old ground?

Wembley was completely rebuilt. Everything was bulldozed at once and the pitch shifted and rotated.

What happened at Hampden was much less radical and much more gradual.

The ground is essentially the same shape as before. Three sides of terracing have had seats bolted on and a roof stuck on. The main stand was rebuilt altogether though.

What was it Rangers objected to this time anyway?

The Editorial independence of the BBC

Not often that BBC Scotland get things right these days, but at least they got this basic thing right
