The only time I've ever bought one was up in the AB area. It definitely seems to be a thing from that neck of the woods as I can't remember seeing them anywhere local. Having said that, I've improvised before and made my own with a pie casing and a portion of lasagne. Does the job. I mean, what's not to like...a boy on Reddit was posting about them: Cannae wait til we're all allowed back to the football. Aberdeen away and not a single one of us is going near Pittodrie eh.

ropy
I am not going to close my mind to the lasagne pie idea. When all this is over I will have time on my hands and will be willing to travel the country tasting local delicacies and offering an opinion to fellow ‘Well fans. All suggestions welcome. Might start in the islands, Pie in the Skye?

crazylegsjoe_mfc
I had a pizza with chips on it in Toni Macaroni when it first opened in Motherwell and like everything else in that particular establishment, it was rather underwhelming.

Harsh on their Risotto Bolognese, IMO. I mean, the Toni isn't a patch on Da Claudio's but it's decent for a value for money lunch.
crazylegsjoe_mfc
The first time I went I got a carbonara which had a bit of plastic which suspiciously looked like a microwaveable film in it. Was never too keen after that.

Toni Macaroni's always gives the impression it's done by folk who have read about italian food, but never eaten any.

I could try and think of a witty riposte and as much as the chat around Paneer and Lasagne pies is fun and a welcome distraction I am certainly worried about the football. With bugger all else happening it is probably affecting my mood more than it normally does. Are there more important things in life - absolutely. But it has been a shitshow of a year and normally I could expect my team to cheer me up every other weekend. Not happening and not for a few months. I hope and expect us to survive as I really do not want to see the club relegated for the 1st time in 35 or so years. Not even for a beer with my mates this weekend. Just me maybe.
Phillips455
To put some sense of football back into this thread, i assume we are not appealing Polworths Red card? I havent heard anythig since Saturday and i doubt the redcard would be fully rescinded (most Likely a yellow which would still lead to a suspension, even if that). I've been to Tony Macaroni once, decided to get the Tony Macaroni since I figured the dish named after the restaurant must be the best they do. I was ill for a week afterwards.

We may hear later today or even tomorrow. Not sure if there is a deadline for such appeals ? I suspect we would fail if it is the Refs word v Polworth. However if it meant he was available for tomorrow’s game the Manager may be inclined to appeal. Depends also on whether Lawless and OHara are both available for selection.
dezz
I know he’s not exactly set the heather alight for us, but what’s the chances of Celtic trying to grab O’Donnell this month now that it looks like Frimpong is away and by all accounts El Hamed is desperate to get back to Israel.

Honestly if Celtic are pinning their future title hopes on Gallagher & O'Donnell I'll be piling money on Rangers to win the league for the next couple of years.
Casagolda
I think O'Donnell's probably came in for some harsh criticism at times based on peoples expectations of him rather than his actual performances for Motherwell. He's a decent Scottish Premiership right back, that's about it and that's largely what he's been for us. Would ideally like him to stay but if he can wangle himself a lucrative deal out of Celtic or some Championship mob then fair play to him. Would leave us short in the full back area again though, especially as Grimshaw seems to have disappeared in recent weeks.

I thought he was extremely average beforehand but based on the love for him I assumed I was missing something and I think my expectations soared. He defo steadied that side of the defence a bit. If Celtic are thinking of signing him I will laugh myself to death. Gallagher I could understand and make a case for, just about.
