dumpweed
Kevin Van Veen. Lazy Lazy Lazy striker but has talent. Will bang in goals if he's "up for it". Personally I wouldn't sign him but if they manager can get a tune out of him, he will do well.

Swello
I lasted about a minute and half of that - 10:30 is a long haul for seeing someone do short passes and crosses of variable quality.

Probably not likely to sign for a Scottish Championship side anyway.

That’ll do.

Busta Nut
Aye worst case scenario he's got security for a couple of years and lives locally.
dezz
It would seem overkill to have SOD, Grimshaw, Johnson and be looking this new RB on trial too. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone down south watched SOD at Wembley and is willing to take take a punt on him.
dumpweed
Not saying Van Been is bad. I'm just saying he has the talent to play at a higher level than league 2 in England. He just needs to use it. Will play well in some games but I suspect he may be a target for the boo boys if things are going badly. Personally hope he comes in and scores 15 goals but we will see!

Genuinely curious, since when did English contracts expiring became a thing. I don't mean that in a Burrows reply guy "where's the signings!" type way just that if you look around the league there hasn't really been much movement anywhere and there seems to be the same "it's because English contracts don't expire until the end of June" sort of reasoning. I know it's something Burrows referenced when he was on the MFC Pod the other week and I appreciate everything he was saying. United, Hearts and St Johnstone have made 1 new signing each. County, Celtic and Rangers have signed 2 (albeit IIRC Celtic & Rangers are pre-contracts). Hibs, Dundee and ourselves have signed 3 (although one of Hibs is a loan made permanent). The only teams who seem to have signed a significant number of players have been Aberdeen, Livi and St Mirren. Of the 3 teams who have signed a pile, a fair chunk of those have been domestic transfers. I get that, for us, recruitment is different this summer and we don't seem to have launched into dishing out pre-contracts Oprah style but it's just a bit weird that waiting until English contracts have expired is being held up as a reason not to announce when we've announced plenty of signings from England pre-July in the past. It's worth noting that English players wages are payed by the PFA until August 31st if they have been freed by a club. So players are generally in no rush to sign.

Yeah it's weird this year for some reason. James Brown was pretty open about the fact he was signing permanently for us, and has been training with us, yet it wasn't announced until this morning, which ties up with all the July 1st stuff for players at English clubs.
