Desp
I know the BBC ratings are a nonsense, but I actually thought Goss had a good game today. If we go forward and actually try and play some football now and again, he could be a half decent option for us.

Nah, that was a disgrace of a dive and he should get his bollocks booted for that.

Today was comfortably the best Goss has been for us in months, because we just asked him to knock the ball around rather than having to cover stupid weird amounts of ground instead of playing football a bit.

Also if the SPFL adopts an extra two posts and Aussie Rules scoring, he may actually contribute.

Swello
I hope it's a quick recruitment process from here - I can't take many more comedy suggestions.
Archie McSquackle
I don't know how much behind the scenes information he actually gets but Craigan said on the radio before yesterday's game that he believed we are looking to appoint someone in the next 7-10 days to give them the chance to bring players in.
wellboy1991
The lesser spotted Flow these days. Interesting that he mentions development of players. I think this transfer window we haven’t really went down that route. Can’t say I see any sell on value of Spittal, Morris or McGinn. Ladt season with Slattery, Tierney and even Woolery was different. Hopefully we can look at that type of player again.

rowsdower
That just seems like a good guess from craigan. That timeline just makes sense.

I'm sure he's pretty itk but agree that seems obvious. Before St Johnstone seems a rush, before Aberdeen seems natural to give a bit of time in the window. Half the time I reckon the process is only drawn out for the sake of show anyway.

Dixiedeans9
If,,,,,Robinson comes back, will we also get the 6 ex Well guys from St Mirren ? I fearfor any new manager tbh, as Alexander has assembled the worst squad in my 60 years at Fir Park. I genuinely wondered if at least 2 of them had ever actually played the game and had managed to con their way in. Big Dunc for me.

The fact he's even mentioning Billy Davies...deary me. I wonder if we'd consider Lambert, if he were interested, though from the names mentioned so far I'd still be going for Valikari. But if I had to bet it'd be a fiver on none of the above.

But if I had to bet it'd be a fiver on none of the above. Was just away to post that. The only thing that article really tells us is that Kevin Thomson's agent is desperate to let everyone know his client has sent his CV in and that Scott Burns reads Motherwell Twitter. That said it does give an idea of timeline - 50 "serious" applications so far, longlist by midweek, shortlist by the end of the week, interviews next week. The club have people they want to sound out as well, which I'd guess would be candidates who wouldn't necessarily apply. IIRC Alexander was a case of us approaching him via his agent asking if he'd be interested rather than him getting in touch with us. If I was to put 50p on our next manager it'd be going on one of the group that the club already have earmarked rather than someone soliciting their CV. Ron Aldo
I'm not sold on Kevin Thomson. He did well at at Kelty but with a far bigger budget than their rivals. He obviously wouldn't get that with us. I also don't understand the Valakari shouts. He seems to be linked every time the vacancy has come up and there must be a reason he's never got it. His only managerial spell outwith Finland saw him relegated with Tromso in Norway. Given we look like genuine relegation candidates this season, I'm not sure he'd be the right appointment.
