Kofi Balmer from Crystal Palace. Also heard. Not surprisingly, that Nicholson and SODs have agreed new deals, 2yrs and 1 yr respectively. I always find it amusing when high level English clubs are involved in negotiations like this. "Right, now we've settled £15m to buy our new incoming nobody, let's sort selling this guy to Scotland for a set of tracksuits and case of irn bru bottles..." I know it's probably just part of the three-way negotiation when the player will (presumably) want some kind of pay off for moving to a lower wage but even so. No, and when we already have Davor/Halliday for the deeper dirty role Miller as a - so far anyway - deeper passer and Paton who can chip in, it seems an odd thought to me as well. I'm pretty sure our interest in Balmer would have cooled or even ended after the Rooney signing as rumour went that we were looking at him to replace Strain as a RWB rather than right side of CB.
