RandomGuy.
Sounds like the type of situation where Swanson will hold off on a decision to see of he'll feature for Hibs, and we'll be left in the twilight zone kicking our heels. Feels like we wasted a month waiting on MOH and now we'll likely waste the final week waiting on Swanson. TW called folk idiots for assuming nothing is happening behind the scenes, you have to ponder what's actually happening if after four weeks of " hard work behind the scenes" leads to us signing nobody and having Jonathan Franks on trial.

This looks like what most predicted or were at least concerned about. The manager waiting on O’Halloran or even Swanson and being left with nothing or a panic signing. Its only fair to wait until the window closes before being passing judgement but if nothing changes then it will be grossly incompetent when in early December he was hinting at four or five coming in depending on our December.
glenrothes 1884 saint
Tbf to TW he said 4 or 5 if we had a really poor December,we got 8 points in 7 games,so probably doesn’t merit that in coming

We've been desperate for players in certain positions (wingers/CMs) for what seems like forever.

The Woolshed
It’s hard to argue that it’s been another utterly uninspiring transfer window. Yes it’s good to get Kane and Kerr back after successful loan spells and Watson when fit is as good as the current back four. But it’s the poor communication that gets me. Confident of loans. How can that go so badly wrong? Surely getting a youthful player or two in from England can’t be such a bad idea? Anything to bring some freshness to the squad
tree house tam
Shows how bad this season has been when folk are glad Kane is back. Almost everyone I know thought he was on the way out the door, then Tommy gives him a 2 year deal. A FUCKING 2 YEAR DEAL Edited January 26, 2018 by tree house tam Stupid fat fingers

He's contracted until 2020.

The Saintee
McMillan will score 25 goals. Possibly more.

So TW can spend it all on 20yo players to sit on the bench? Or "experienced pros" like Paton? Wouldn't be a huge shock if he now goes out and signs Ryan fucking Dow.
Fifespud
As much as we don’t need Thistle picking up points that’s a fucking great result today.
Dick Van Dyke
Tommy wright is an arrogant clown, Kane and Kerr should’ve started today but if he started Kane that would mean admitting he got it wrong putting him out on loan

It seems a fair chunk of our fans: (a) don't appreciate how, living within our means for the last 30 years, we've enjoyed the most successful period in our history (b) would struggle to give an example of Tommy Wright spending money wisely. Honestly, if Tommy was given a hundred grand tomorrow, I reckon he'd spunk it on new contracts for Anderson and MacLean. Kyle
I think it’ll be popcorn oot time over the next few days. Tommy’s comments in the sun look like an attempt to buckpass to the chairman if we don’t get the desired players/quality in.

Its him thats handed the likes of Keith Watson two year deals, its him whos signed the likes of Paul Paton and Kyle McLean, and its him who woefully misuses the quality players we have.
Jamie_B
Anderson and MacLean need a spell on the sidelines. Maybe Craig too. Johnstone and Alston need sent back/released to help free up some space in the squad. We badly missed some natural width from full back due to the injuries, and we always miss out when Davidson isn’t available in the middle. None of that excuses our inability to do anything on the ball at any stage. If we don’t get a good creative player in this week and/or some genuine pace I don’t see where a win is coming from, at least at home anyway. We look totally clueless at McDiarmid just now.Kane and McMillan were a massive improvement on Macca and Johnstone during their brief spell together. In his ten minutes McMillan had a shot on target, won a good flick on (something the two that went off failed to do at any stage) and won the penalty. I have no doubt he’ll end up spending six weeks on the sidelines now.Kane has probably earned the right to start the next few games. At least his pace made Thistle drop deeper and gave their defence something to think about. Macca and McMillan were abject.Has anyone worked out why the goal was disallowed in the first half today btw? Bizarre one.
