Based on yesterday having them on either side would allow us to stretch things a bit more than we have been, and show a bit of attacking threat. Wouldn't be down to his performances but we've signed Smith to play instead of him in midfield, we've now got cover at right back. Whether we sign him or not it's evident we're looking for another to play that defensive role. Flashes of talent, but inconsistencies and injuries mean he will never advance from where he is. I'd put good money on his air of 'can't be arsedness' would bug MacLean. Widge Posted August 27, 2023 Share Posted August 27, 2023 When you’re trying to reduce numbers and the squad size it’s important to know that every player can contribute and is good enough to play when required. For me that leaves you looking to move Ballantyne, Booth, Crawford, McPherson on I’d say with Parker and Max out on loan. Could be purely from a wages perspective rather than ability / team selection.
