Which is exactly the position we've been in now for 3 years. Bloated squad with no quality and gaping holes.  I'm not sure how you manage to have a squad of 27 with only one natural full back in it, whilst also looking desperately short of wingers too.

Although, if you include the youth players in the 27, you need to account that there is a couple of full backs amongst them.

I'd say Wright and Carey are wingers of a sort, but we don't play them in quite that way in this system. For me, you could argue that Fran might be a winger of sorts as he develops.

They won't be worried about lack of wingers though as they don't plan to play with any 😂

I think they do, at points, tbf. I really hope we see a back 4 on Saturday just to prove they actually will be flexible as much as anything. He's talked about getting another winger too so theoretically you then have New winger/Carey/Wright/McPake/Steven/Franzak/May as ones who seem comfortable out wide.

This was roughly the squad as I see it.

That's just spoiled my day tbh. We will hopefully offload some of the dross there and get a few of the youngsters out on loan. If we could get three good signings in the right positions, things would look a little brighter.  It's a huge if though.

There's an awful lot riding on Carey providing the same standard of assists again.

Can Wright stay fit and take some of the load off?

Clark can't be relied on.

One Smith is shite and the other is an absolute ghost.

Kucheravyi and MacPherson? Fucking hell.

Rae and Sinclair are totally unproven at this level.

I think this years would beat last year? Might just be Sidibeh V Mitov.

In terms of sort of direct swaps to me we've effectively gone like this from Leveins starting point to now, i think...

Mitov - Rae

Gordon - McClelland

Considine - Cameron

McGowan - Sanders

Gallacher - Raymond

Brown - Keltjens

Robinson - ?

Phillips - Essel

Crawford - Connor Smith

Costelloe - McPake

Jephcott - Sidibeh

Quality wise I'd say Keltjens and  Sidibeh are the only clear upgrades so far?

Guess you class him as the Considine replacement, and Cameron as the Robinson replacement, if it happens?

Not a clue how he's done at Queens Park.

I don’t think he shored up our defensive woes by much if not any. Clearly had no pace and would get caught out fairly often.

Sounds familiar 😂
