Theyellowbox
4 hours ago, Nat King Goals said: Given the '6 pointer' importance of Ross County on Saturday, is it worth appealing Kimpioka's red card? Not sure of the rules in terms of when appeal must be submitted this week / appeal result being made, but based on evidence from Utd v Rangers when Utd player got yellow for a worse challenge and the views of Dermot Gallacher and pundits etc, surely worth a go. If nothing else, by placing an appeal, even if it were to be rejected, would it free Kimpioka up for Ross County game or is it a fast track process? The thought of Clark up front on his own is enough for me to say appeal please. Whilst Kirk is a good option, I don't think he would be maximised on his own, nor fair on him, and much better with Kirk and Kimpioka IMO with Clark on the bench. Should appeal as it is not a red. If SFA cite no contact, but intent, then reference the referee's 'intent' to give a foul in the game vs Rangers....

Widge
As much as I’ve watched and it don’t think it’s a red card, with worse tackles getting yellows. There is no way an appeal wins, as it’s not clear cut and there is little chance Collum and the SFA are going to allow saints of all teams to win the seasons first appeal given the way it’s gone so far.

Jamie_B
I was close to the edge before the game at the weekend - but that second half combined with some stuff I was told about what was going on behind the scenes over the weekend put me firmly over the edge. Next appointment is crucial.
Zamora Fan
Well that decisions stinks of panic to me.
Honest Saints Fan
Haha. That's two years in a row they've organised the manager to sign the Junior Saints contracts and the managers have been sacked!

RandomGuy.
Was happening at some point this season so aswell getting it out the way early. Not quite sure who you go for now but it needs to be someone with an infectious personality as much as anything. It was a struggle to get behind Davidson as he couldn't put any emotion over, then MacLean just seemed raging, then Levein didn't seem fully invested at any point.
Stan Bo
Which pundit/journalist will be the first to criticise his sacking? Let him sign a full team, one game after window....etc etc ignoring the fact supporters have wanted this for a while...
Zamora Fan
I see no one else has cottoned on to what the statement doesn't say yet? Implies the new manager has already been chosen.
Kyle
I don't think sacking him now makes a lick of sense. It's too late for a new manager to bring in his own players and any the new manager will have to work with a group that I think we can all see is well below the required standard by and large. Levein had an idea of what he wanted to do with this squad, the new guy will have to work it out without a pot to piss in. Hope I'm wrong but the last few years are going to come home to roost this season I feel. At least we can get a good laugh at ourselves watching the documentary on those spanking new tvs though. Maybe they can set up a drive in cinema on the newly surfaced car park.

Nat King Goals
Levein had to go and pleased Webb has acted. Worryingly though is that nothing has been said re Kirk, as he should be gone too IMO. Reckon Clelland, Alistair Stevenson and Griffin should be given interim charge. As others have commented, the next management appointment is crucial.
