D'Jaffo
We've just taken Stephen Kelly on loan for the season. He's pretty highly rated at Rangers isn't he?

Reid
We’ve signed Cammy Palmer on loan until January. Anyone know anything about him?

Very technically able at youth level and highly rated at the academy. If he can make the step up he will be a gem for you. 17 minutes ago, Reid said: We’ve signed Cammy Palmer on loan until January. Kelly is more technically gifted and is a potential star. Palmer gets good reviews and has played well in the development games I've watched but Kelly shades it.

I know absolutely nothing about him, so I'm maybe miles out, but it feels like an unnecessary amount for you to spending on a CH with your squad the way it is.

I'm guessing the top two conspiracy theories are:- 1) They're spending the Morelos money before they've even banked it. 2) They're going all out and relying on that Europa League money before they've even qualified. Admin 2 will follow if it doesn't pay off etc. The club did recently wipe out all of its debt so maybe that's why the purse strings have loosened a bit but I'm just speculating.

Kelly is a playmaking centre mid and probably the best technical player that Rangers have in that position at youth level. Palmer is a ball-winning midfielder that does the simple things well. They play together a lot at youth level and it makes for a good combination. Caldwell was at the Rangers Reserves vs Ayr United game yesterday where Kelly scored two goals and Palmer got a lot of minutes. Agreed. I think we would have been fine with a free transfer/low fee 4th choice centre back and spent the money on a centre forward. I know nothing about him either other than a bit of Youtube scouting. He seems a tall Davie Weir type defender who, like Weir, is a bit of a long ball specialist. The Premiership here should be a better fit for his style compared to the Serie A.

Not really. Last season we scored plenty but conceded too many wanky wee goals. A top-quality CH would improve us.

Dons_1988
People get awfully excited about 'debt'. It is/was owed to investors who are happy not to see their money back anytime soon or earn interest etc. Even if the debt isn't 'wiped out' it's not really a problem.
