They’ve signed 5 wingers/wide players (Jones Ojo Stewart Hastie & Barker) yet they opted not to play any of them at home against Celtic and the next day they decide they need a winger so they sign Kent. Don’t think the fee matters though as they’ll recoup that money on shirt sales with ‘Kent’ on the back... oh wait. Brilliant

But the point I was, maybe clumsily, trying to make was that it’s all you diddies (© kinky) posting in here about news that has nothing to do with your own clubs. I put it down to the diddies being so environmentally conscious. I'm quite assiduous in separating gin bottles, paper, recyclable plastic, food waste and non-recyclable waste. The P&B diddies go beyond that, though, and constantly recycle both their own posts and reuse material they have bin-dipped from elsewhere. We really should applaud them for their Green credentials.

It is not, by any measure, "always done from the angle of the songs harming the club" - that is just silly posting from you. Besides, when you have an obdurate fan base there is nothing wrong with a, 'look at the consequences' approach, is there? It is perfectly reasonable to say that something can be both ethically wrong but also wrong due to its consequences. Pretty much every set of parents has adopted this approach towards their scion. I think you were just playing to the gallery in your post. He's certainly not playing to BF1...

TavTastic
Great to have Kent on a permanent deal considering his age but £7m + 20% sell on fee is a big risk imo. The signing really must deliver either in terms of multiple years of good service or profitable resale to be worth it.

It certainly is a risk for them but and big money in Scottish football terms but given the absolute dog shit going for more down south I dont believe they have actually overpaid tbh. Thought he looked a 5s player but vastly improved last season

My completely unfounded conspiracy theory is that when Stevie inevitably gets the call from Anfield in the next 2/3 years, Kent’ll be away on the same bus cancelling out the transfer fee. The risk we now carry is that he needs to play to the top of his form for the period without serious injury.
