What would be good about that is the fact that the Rangers support are renowned for a thoughtful and balanced appreciation of issues at hand, and would take a period of resetting or regression with their famous good grace and humility.

What a froth to get in.

Rangers sold orange kits 25 years ago. They sold well. Rangers want to maximise sales, they reprise the orange shirt.

Or should they have picked another colour to protect the permanently faux offended? I’m fairly sure that lilac effort of a couple of years back was a particularly poor seller.

I have no idea of Hearts 2nd/3rd kits. Are there specific reasons for their colours, or have they been chosen because one can cut a dash (as much as one can anyway) about Gorgie every second weekend?

Aye…

They’re selling well because of your historical links with Dutch players…

That’s definitely why…

It's mental that they can still convince people they are a big club.  Doesn't anyone check the fucking internet before they sign up??

People get catfished off the internet all the time. so Baldy Phil's no alone.

I'd prefer it if they did their resetting in the west of Scotland leagues for a few years.

That would be fun.

We've had Boab winning the Scottish open, the Euros cheering us all up last night and The Open at Troon to look forward to this week.

Then it's back to Rangers just fucking up my mood constantly.

Can't wait for Goldson, Tav, Dessers and Scott Wright all lining up at Tynecastle for the opening game of the season.

RANGERS confirm agreement has been finalised with both the Scottish FA and SPFL for the use of Hampden Park for the club’s home fixtures in the early part of the 2024/25 season.

Further to last week’s update, the club is continuing work at pace on detailed plans for the transition to the National Stadium.

While the Ask Rangers site seeks to address immediate questions, further information will be delivered to our season ticket holders and seasonal hospitality clients as we progress the situation.

At this stage, the club can announce our William Hill Scottish Premiership matches with Motherwell on Saturday, 10 August and Ross County on Saturday 24 August will be played at Hampden, with both matches kicking-off at 3pm.

With draws still to be made for the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round and potential play-off round, plus a potential home tie in the Premier Sports Cup, the club will communicate news on dates and kick-off times for them once the information is confirmed.

The club is continuing to work tirelessly on the Copland Stand project at Ibrox to complete that as soon as possible. As soon as the club can provide a definitive update on matches returning to our home, it will do so.

Rangers again puts on record its thanks to the Scottish FA and the SPFL for their considerable work in reaching this solution.

Above all, the club thanks our supporters for their ongoing patience and understanding as we deal with this challenge.

The Scottish FA and SPFL have today approved Rangers FC’s request to host the club’s home matches at Hampden Park, due to ongoing works at Ibrox Stadium.

The arrangement includes the club’s home matches up to Scotland’s UEFA Nations League fixture at home to Poland on September 5 and the SPFL Board has approved Rangers playing such matches away from their own Registered Ground.

As part of the agreement, Rangers have  committed to fund an accelerated pitch growth programme to ensure the Hampden surface is ready for the club’s first home game.

The SPFL have confirmed that due to the Rangers v Motherwell match in the William Hill Premiership now taking place at Hampden Park on Saturday 10 August, it has been agreed with Queen’s Park that their match against Livingston in the William Hill Championship, to be played at the City Stadium, has been moved to Friday 9 August.

For the rest of us that's just more good positive entertainment.

*The Rangers being a fuckup, not them putting a downer on your mood.

As I've said on the Queen's Park thread, there is some softening of the news here. My brother is working at Ibrox (called in to help with f**k ups from another company) and he reckons you'll do well to have it all done by Christmas. They know they won't be in by September but obviously don't want to say that right now, when September comes around they can blame further delays.

I take it from this, your brother doesn’t believe that the project is running behind schedule simply due to the delay in materials arriving?

That is a big problem, yes. I'm led to believe the SFA insisted on using certain suppliers as they have criteria they'd like met to help them with bids for future tournaments and such, and some of these companies are well behind schedule. But the company he works for were not involved in the project until last week when they were called in to help fix issues so suppliers don't seem the only issue at play here.
